Course Curriculum Overview
I think the teaching method was quite basic and like it is said practical and theory is completely different! This is exactly what I felt cause the theoretical knowledge didn't help at all. But yes the way of teaching was fine.
Internships Opportunities
TCS - Associate Customer Service The stipend was 4lpa Byjus- Business development associate Stipend 4 lpa We also had internships from several startup's like natures basket and travel agencies with 5k stipend.
Placement Experience
Our college offered us good placements. We had many startup's show up and offer us packages of minimum 4 lpa upto 12 lpa. The selection was totally on the basis of your capability. My plan was to pursue a professional course so the college placement was not really my choice.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per semester is ?43,000 and that is charged in the beginning of each semester. It is advisable to consult the college administrator for further details as it gets updated on a yearly basis. I did not avail scholarship but met all the requirements of the college. There is special preference given to Gujarati students and they can also avail scholarships. They pay almost half the fee paid by others. Hope this helps!
Campus Life
This college has to be the most happening one in Kolkata. It has numerous activities and parties. The college has its own fest which is like a big party or concert one would say. The college also has many purposeful clubs that help students understand the true side of life as well.
Admission
I applied to plenty of others colleges but went with this because for commerce it is one of the best. The timings of my course were perfect for me. The college is also considerate if you're doing any professional course on the side. I did not get rejected from any other college but chose this as it is quite exciting to be a part of this college and it lives up to its name.the cut off is also not so strict and easy to get into.
Faculty
Course was for 3 years. We had 6 semesters and we were marked as per Calcutta University's rules. The exams were usually difficult but we managed to pass however some did fail and they were supposed to reappear for the exams. The faculty members were not so friendly excluding some. However they were helpful whenever needed. We had sufficient amount of help and professors when needed.
