Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our Course, includes a lot of subjects I like that it has programming as well as the electrical aspects of computers, and I think the circular prepares you for the real world as the course also includes internship and our course for our branch was made with recommendation from some CEOs as well. However, in first year as per the new There are some courses which are probably not needed for engineers, which include Constitution of India and some biology and school like English. so instead of focusing on these things, we can focus more on job related aspects. There are three exams for semester, which is I think too much as there is not much time for extra curricular activities and difficulty of these exams are also high.

Placement Experience

3

The campus offers decent placement in companies like Wipro, EXL, TCS, et cetera. The average package goes from four lakh to 8,00,00 per annum. The highest sometimes goes for 22,00,00 or I think once it went for 40,00,00 for some international company. a lot of decent companies visit the campus, which include Wipro, Exl, TCS, DMRC, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra basically companies from every branch, whether it is computer or mechanical or civil. Most of the students to get decent placements. However, my plan is to go for higher studies, but I will consider if I get a decent package.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 150k per year for my course. I am from general category. There might be some relief for EWS students. There are numerical scholarships available but I haven't got any yet. A lot of charges are taken for this course.

Campus Life

3

There are a lot of events held in the college There are two libraries. One is the central library which is very big and books from every subject is available there and we also have our engineering faculty Library, which has books of engineering for first year, the classrooms don't have any digital board or projector, but maybe with second year, the classroom improves sports activities are held and trials are done every year in the Jamia sports complex and inter branch matches are also done. There are a lot of societies and clubs like Google developers club, SoarX, American Society of mechanical engineers, and American Society of civil engineers, et cetera.

Admission

I gave the JEE exam, and I did applied for the counselling but it was taking too long for confirmation. I chose this college because Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 3rd by by NIRF and also our engineering colleges the 25th best engineering college in India. Yes, I did got rejection from other colleges, maybe because my JEE score was low. For Jamia engineering College you need to fill a form before giving the JEE exams, and then you have to enter your role number, so they check your JEE result, and then they call you for admission, so you need to fill an extra form for Jamia, for which the charges are rs 500. For this year, the lowest cut-off was for civil engineering, which was around 2,00,000.

Faculty

3

Faculty members are good and well trained. Many of them have studied from foreign universities and many of them are also recognised in top level scientists. However, some faculty members are not that good and also rude And there are also too many students in single class. The faculty for subjects like maths, chemistry, et cetera is good, but mostly the practical lab facilities are not great. There are three exams per semester, and they are pretty tough. You have to pass in every exam and a lot of students fail in exam as I have seen on the notice board. Our course was introduced just this year, so the syllabus is based on the latest New Education Policy of 2020. Our course which is electrical and computer. Science is great as it combines important aspects of both the fields.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
