Average placement , good teaching faculty

The overall performance in terms of education is quite good but the strongest reason to take admission is affordable prices and good teaching faculty. The placements are average and you will have to work hard in order to get placement in reputed companies but once you are placed, a lot of opportunities are there to help you gow.

The course curriculum is excellent .I am from computer science and engineering branch. The subjects are chosen wisely and they are updated according to trend in technology. Subjects like industrial management are also taught to help students learn the insiders of industries. Industrial visits are organized. Focus is also given to practicals and personality development classes are also organized.

The placements are average . The average placement package provided is 2.6 lakh p.a. .The highest package offered was 7.5 lakh p.a. . Approx 70% of students who participate in campus drives are offered packages in Computer Science and electronics branches. Core companies as well as non technical (management companies) visit the campus. You get chance to sit in internship drives organized in the campus to get a chance for internships. A few days ago , a company offering an internship of 18000 p.m.(stipend) visited the campus but only a few are able to get internships through the college. Most of the students apply for internships through their own references. In many cases teachers also help students to get internships.

A lot of events are organized on frequent occasions to encourage extracurriculars and knowledge building: 1.Navankur : The fresher's party. Organized by 2nd year students funded by college. Includes dance and talent hunts 2.Arunima : The annual function of the college. It is celebrated in the month of March. Students can show their skills (extracurriculars) there. 3.Workshops : A lot of workshops are organized to help students learn practically from experts. 4.Seminars : Organized at least once a semester to help students guide through career opportunities. & Many more.... Many events are also organized by students such as poster making , debates , speeches etc..

The fee structure is quite feasible. Actually it is the least expensive in the region with 36150/- semester. Including extra expenses it gets to average 85000 per year. To opt for accommodation you have to apply for hostels where the charges are approx 50000 per year. Comparative to other similar institutes where fees range from 1.15 lakh to 1.85 lakh per year , this is quite feasible. The library charges are also nominal approx 6000 for the whole course where they also provide book banks which students have to return at the end of each semester. There is no fees to join any club in the college formed by students.

The scholarship opportunities available are: 1.Full fee waiver: Scholarship provided by the university for economically backward students with less than 2.5 lakh income.The scholarship is provided on the basis of performance in the entrance exam UPSEE. Such seats are limited to only 10% of the available seats in the course.So you need to have good score in the UPSEE examination. The tuition fee is remitted completely and students have to pay only university fees. 2.Dashamottar chhatravritti: Full fee reimbursement by the government of Uttar Pradesh. The form is filled every year in the month of September(approximately) and almost all students fill it. 3.Agrawal Shiksha Mandal scholarship: It is the parent organization of the college and may provide scholarship to economically backward students. (A maximum of 7 students)

The extracurriculars are quite good. Sports week is celebrated every semester and students can participate in zonal events in order to get recognition. The labs are equipped with sufficient apparatus and there are a sufficient nunber of labs in each department. The college has a central library which contains a large number of books along with a digital library to encourage digital learning through the internet. There are numerous events organized where students can learn working in teams such as navankur and annual function.

I didn't opt for hostel but I know about hostel infrastructure as my friends are there and I frequently visit them. The hostel infrastructure is quite good . Proper electricity and wifi facilities are provided. The students get an environment which is overall healthy and hygienic.

The alumni network is very helpful. They help you get internships and guide you in terms of career objectives. They are helpful as they help to get companies for campus drives as well as may refer you. Many of them are working in reputed firms. Seniors also guide you through their experience and project stuff. A special alumni cell has been set up in the college.

I took part in the entrance exam known as UPSEE. I got good marks and was selected for counselling. I was given a date to report at the institute where I submitted all my documents and was encountered with a few questions regarding my interests by the counsellor. The entrance exam is conducted by the UP state university also known as AKTU. It consists of multiple choice questions with no negative marking. After being selected there students are required to fill colleges according to there preferences.

The faculty is experienced with almost all of them having 12+ years of experience in teaching. They are interactive and encourage practical learning and participation in extracurricular activities. They know a lot and students can learn from them .Though they primarily focus on syllabus but if students want to learn things apart from syllabus they can contact them. They are supportive and encourage students to organize events such as quizzes and sports. They also organize aptitude test series. Since they are experienced , they are able to clear almost all doubts of students.
