Review of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology

B. Tech with ECE in Galgotias College is not very ideal course. CS&IT are good. But Overall courses prepares you for real world application if students is willing to study and make some efforts from his side too. Good Soft skills Faculties are there in 1st Year, And With the help of Good faculties, Internet, and Your curiosity, one can take big steps even through this college. Area of improvemnts is That some faculties can be replaced with better ones, Curriculum Subjects can be updated for better and interest of more students can be drawn to focus on ECE by more practical education and not only bookish knowledge.

Companies of internship:- Company name - Bosch Stipend offered - 4.5L/annum Role - technical sales, manufacturing and engineering Name - Cadence design systems Stipend offered- Unpaid for first 5 months then 40k/month for next 6 months Role - Engineer with knowledge in SV/UVM/VERILOG & digital concepts Company name - Eninrac Consulting Stipend offered - 15,000/month Role - Reserach Analyst.

Students are eligible for placements from 6th Semster onwards. ECE students get chance to sit with CS, IT students for IT companies placements. No of ECE companies is less IT companies coming here. ECE companies like Bosch, Cadence come. Very Few from ECE get placed in ECE companies, Most of them try in IT Companies like me. ECE students with good knowledge in ECE are placed. Like one of my classmate got placed for 17 lacks in cadence. IT companies like Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant etc come for placements and a lot of new companies also come here. ? of students placed is almost 30?. Average package - 4-4.5 lacks.

Yearly fee - First Year: 1,25,000 Rs. approx ( Registration Fee= 25,000 + Tuition Fee at the time of admission = 1,00,000) Next 3 years: 1,10,000 Rs. approx. (Tuition Fee) Since This College is in Uttar pradesh, Students can apply for UP govt. Scholarship. It gives scholarships of approx 50,000 Rupees to Selected students.

Overall campus life is average. You'll find Good people, Bad people, every type of personalities. Fest Happening - 1. UNIFEST(every year around April-May) 2. Fresher Party( Mostly in November/December) 3. Prom Night (on Valentines Day) And many more events keep happening organised by Clubs of various Branches. Library:- Almost all Technical books are present, and other than that Some literature books, Novels, Magazines, Newspapers, and General Knowledge books are also there. Sports:- Very less activities. Only once or twice in a years. Clubs:- Many clubs are there, some are good like CODING CLUB,Management, etc but most of them are just inactive or very less active. They are mostly active when freshers join college. There is a lot of grouping and flattery in clubs for positions and juniors are labours. Poetry clubs seniors don't understanda or write good poetry. Extracurricular :- No sports activities for our branch, Faculties usually dont encourage joining clubs, they want students to study. Dancer and Vocalists can perform in some events. And cheesy poets too. Photographer can record them. That's what extracurricular here is.

I chose this college as i had only this option and also i live near the college. I had applied for CS in Galgotias college and GL Bajaj, Noida. But i didn't get as my jee marks were not good and i had scored only 83? in 12th. In ECE, there is also direct admission without JEE mains along with AKTU counselling on basis of JEE MAINS. Cutoff changes from 75? to 85? every year. 80? average in 12th can get you ECE in galgotias college.

Faculty to Students Ratio :- Good. I don't know number exactly but It's good. Every subjects has its teachers. Even for same subjects in different section of ECE, many a times there are different faculties. Some Faculties are Really good, they interacts and want questions from students. But Some are just there formality and just complete their syllabus. But Mostly teacher are good if students wants to study. I liked Sir VS gupta, Sir Alok Kumar, beacause of their teaching style, knowledge and their will of more interaction with students. In each semester, there are 2 internal exams/CAEs(Continuos Assessment Tests) of 40 marks(2 units) , and 100 marks(all 5 units) And then there is END Semster External Exam conducted by AKTU of 100 marks. (In some years it's of 70 Marks). Both these exams are of same medium difficulty level. In CAEs, many students fail and score bad as they are unwilling to give these exams. In END Semster External exams, Most Students pass. But AKTU cuts a lot of numbers, and check copies very strictly. AKTU Syllabus is good but need some updates.
