Engineering Life

My college is one of its kind. Being the second best in Mumbai and third best In Maharashtra, it proves it’s worth. I have no negative remarks. We have a huge campus, great faculty, amazing seniors, and good food. It’s the best.

The college is autonomous. It gained its autonomy last year. The course has been redesigned extremely well. We have courses which will help us in many ways. Our exams are short unlike mumbai university which stress over a period of 1 month. We have exams for only 10 days.

The placements and job opportunities are amazing. Many well established companies which do not go to any other college in Mumbai come to out college. My college provides various opportunities for internships. Paid as well as unpaid. There is an interview usually to get an internship. The experience is amazing.

We have various events in our college. The year starts with freshers for first years. Followed by our annual techno cultural fest Oculus. Artists like Anthracite, Illuminati, and Amit Mishra had their performed in our fest. We have our annual sports fest Spoorthi as well in February. And the year ends with farwell for the last year students.

The fee structure is feasible. It is 1,40,000 approximately. It is less than most other engineering colleges around. My college provides scholarships for merit students as well as students with low family income.

I know of scholarship provided to state toppers. Each year they are given ?20,000 for their merit performance. Also the top 3 students of each class are provided with free books for the entire semester.

The labs are too good. Infrastructure, cleanliness, comfort is great. The technology is up to date. We have various activities like Law, Medical, etc as well during each semester. Sports is becoming a major part of my college.

The senior students are the most helpful. If you have any doubt, they are the solution. If you want books, you get it from them at a cheaper rate. There is no alumni network that i am aware of currently.

We have good teaching as well as non teaching staff. They are helpful, kind, generous. They have extreme knowledge of the subject and guide us whenever needed. We do have few bad teachers, but that’s fine.
