Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well, I think the current competency based method of study is very relevant to the real world. It not only helps the students to have a theoritical knowledge but akso checks on his / her hands on skills in that discipline.

Internships Opportunities

5

The college provides internship to every student in the hospital attached to it. There is a huge patient inflow which gives us exposure to a variety of cases. This helps us in applying the theoritical knowledge and enhance our hands on skills.

Placement Experience

5

Talking about placements, one can usually get placed in the hospital associated with the college. But most of the students opt for higher education whivh means they go on for thei post graduation. The college also provides an internship in the hospital for a period of one year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Talking about the fee structure, we are required to pay an annual tution fees of Rs 9000. This includes the two semesters each with a tuition fee of Rs 4500. While admission, we need to pay an extra amount of 2000. This includes the admission fee, development fee and the lab fee. This is a one time payment, while the initial admission process. We also need to pay an amount of Rs 11000, during the counselling process out of which 10,000 is refundable if you choose a seat in any college. Also, jf you r opting for hostel facilities, you need to pay an excess of Rs 144 annually which includes stay and electricity charges( food charges needs to be paid separately and may be about Rs 3500 per month).

Campus Life

5

Campus life is really fun. There are a lot of non academic events hosted by the college that helps one practise their hobbies or even learn new skills. There are fests, different intercollege tournaments and many more adding the required amount of salt to our lives.

Hostel Facilities

5

In the room we are provided with a bed, a table and an almirah. There are also two washing machines per floor and two elevators provided. Apart from these we can use any electrical appliances like induction, hair straightner etc. Talking about the food , the quality of food here is undoubtedly above average with a variety of options provided.

Admission

The main reason for choosing this college over others was that it is near to my hometown. But there are a several other factors like the ones I have stated as to why I like this college. Talking about the cutoff, you need to have an all india rank within 8000 for the general category , within 50, 000 for the SC category.

Faculty

4

The college has well experienced and qualified faculties. Many faculty members are renowned experts in their fields. The faculty gives us all sorts of help both in terms of subject within syllabusor anwering the doubts of curious minds. They keave no stone unturned to give us the best quzlity of study materialsin the form of PDFs or PPT. Also the faculties from psychology helps us with all sorts of non academic helps. Taking of the teacher student ratio, there is one teacher for every 25 students, and hence students are given personal attention. Course structure : The course has a total of 19 subjects to be studied in a period of 4 and a half years. In the 1st year there are 3 subjects ( anatomy, biochemestry and physiology). In the 2nd year also there are 3 subjects( pathology, pharmacology and microbiology), 3rd year we have 2 subjects( FMT and PSM) and the 4th year has all other 11 subjects including medecine, surgery, paediatrics, etc. Exam systems : We have a semester form of exam . 1st and 2nd year has 2 semesters each while 3rd year has one semester and 4th year has 3 semesters. Along with the semesters we have a year end final exam conducted by the medical board. It includes the entire syllabus that has been taught in that particular year. The exams are usually pretty standard exams , which means you really have to study hard to pass. Overall, I think the recent competency based curriculum is very well framed. It not only helps the students to have thorough theoritical knowledge, but also gives a broad exposure to the practical world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
