Likes
- The infrastructure and maintenance of the college campus. The library has a check-in point where you can scan the your id cards.
- The teaching of the faculty is really great ,they use projectors to give us a visual representation of the modules of our subjects.
Dislikes
- Maintenance of the college canteen, the chairs are broken and bent ,it is dusty and not well maintained.
- There is no cafeteria in our college ,which is a problem for students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course that I had received through KCET was information science engineering; however, I secured a 9.075 CGPA in the first year and applied for a change of branch to CSE, and now I am a CSE student at MVJCE .The suggested areas for improvement in the course curriculum inexperienced and good faculty who are kind. The frequency of exams should be made of 2 internal assessments instead of 3.
Placement Experience
The placements of my college are pretty average and i do not have an idea of the companies that visit my college for placements as I am a 2nd year student . My elder brother is in 4th year in the same college ,and according his experience many companies do not visit our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
My year-wise fees are Rs. 1,14,750/- with an increase of 4% by the VTU every year; other than that, my skill and lab fees every year is Rs.15,000/- ,i am not applicable for any scholarship right now as I have been admitted into the college as a general student; the only scholarship I can avail is the SSP scholarship, which is provided by the Karnataka government; however, I'm not eligible for this as my family annual income is not less than Rs. 1,00,000. My batchmates fees are the same if they are admitted through KCET, but the fees of management students in my college depend on the branch they choose; as per BE in CSE, the management fees are approximately more than 4 lakhs a year.
Campus Life
The overall experience of my college is pretty decent ,our college is good for studies , sports is not given much importance and the student life is bad here. There are a few student clubs in our college but I didn't find any club fun or exciting.
Admission
I received this college through kcet and this was the only choice I had ,i was expecting for CMRit information science,but there was a huge difference in the cutoff compared to the cutoff of colleges in the year 2022.
Faculty
Few faculties in our college are really good as they try to understand the weak point of each student and provide them with a solution to understand the concept even better .There are few faculties who do not care about the students; they do not teach properly and do not complete the syllabus on time. The aerospace department faculties are really rude and hold grudges on students. The faculties setting the question papers for students are utter bullshit.
