RGIPT: Institute for Oil and Gas sector

Institue provides Chemical Enngineering specilized in PETROLEUM Refining. It provides students edge to have ob oppourtunity in Oil and gas industries like IOCL. HPCL etc. Such curriculum have value considering importance of energy sector.

I got internship ai IOCL R&D Faridabd. It is among most prestigious institute in Oil and gas industry. College provides assistance to get intership at such institutes. I worked on desiging of nozzle required in Fluid CATAYTIC CRACKING unit of Petroleum Refinery

Final semester students are eligilble for placements. Major Oil and Gas industries comes for placements as IOCL, PETRONET LNG, BPCL, ONGC etc. Such companies provides 10 lakh plus CTC. Amost 20-30 percen get campus placement oppourtunity. Rest students can also get placement through GATE exam. I did not apply for campus placemet. I started preparing for UPSC CSE

Yearly fees is around 150000. It includes all kind of charges like tution, hostel, food and transportation charges. No extra money will be charges in any other form by the institute. this is fee structure for General and OBC students. For, SC/ST category students, there is significant relaxation in fee structure, which is almost 50% lesser. Institue provide "RGIPT schloarship" (3000 rupees per month) and "CHEVRON scholarship" to meritorious students. It will have reservaition consideration as well i.e. inclusive of OBC, SC and ST students. Institute functions on the standards of IITs and provide immense opppurtunity to grow. Considering these aspects fee structure is rational.

Institute provide various cultural intraction opportunity like KALTARANG cultural festival. Socil clubs like ARPAN for individual growth. Librray facility is there for accesing various literature. But comparitively smalller comapred to IITs. There are various clubs like social, dance, SPE, etc.

Campus is newly established so good hostel facility. Meal facililty is decent and diverse. Hostel and meal facility is included is overall fee structure. It is not optional. Students need to manditarily stay in hostel itself. No one is allowed to stay outside.

I applied for IIIT Gwalior. I got Computer Science branch there. I found Petroleum Refining as beter branch as it is speilization course. I applied for MNIT Allahabad. There I got rejection from Chemical Engineering branch. RGIPT selects based on IIT JEE ranks. It adds to the vallue of institution in eyes of companies as well.

It is based on standarsds of IIT. Some faculties are from IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU. Faculties are quite approachable. RGIPT provides various platforms to interact with faculties through variours student clubs. Bala sir was my favourite faculty. He was Chemical Engineer. There was not specific faculty that I did not like. Institue conduct two semester exams along with some tests which are alos counted for Final Marks. Exam standard is quite good. 4-5 students usually fail in some subjects, refecting the toughness of exam.
