Pros and cons of IET

Pros : College fees is affordable, You will get much exposure, learning environment & healthy competition among students. Cons : Placement, Labs, Infrastructure, Facilities. P.s. - The seniors are very helpful are always here to guide juniors.

The course followed in my college is structured by AKTU. I am satisfied by the course followed because, as I have searched, the syllabus is very much similar to that in IITs and NITs. Taking about the exams, the exams of odd semester takes place in December and of even semester, it is in May. The syllabus and checking procedure are not difficult and one can easily obtain good marks( except in EC and EI branch where getting good marks is a bit different).

Placement wise, the record of my college hasn't been good but the authorities are trying their best to improve this situation. In recent years, there has been an increase in the placement rates. For internship, students have to try on their own as my college doesn't take much responsibility of this issue

There are numerous events which takes place in my college on annual basis. For example : College annual fest, robotics fest, sports fest etc. These events provide students to showcase their skills in various fields.

As my college is a government fuded institute, the fee structure is affordable relative to other similar kinds of institutions. The tution fees is around 55k and the hostel fees is 10-14k. You can also apply for 100% scholarship on the basis of your financial status and you can also apply for fee waiver seats.

You can apply for scholarship which is provided on the basis of your financial status. This scholarship pretty much covers all your tution and hostel fees. You can also apply for fee waiver seats. Even if you can't get scholarship, the fees is not that high.

Students in my college participate in various extracurricular activities and join different clubs like college arts team, robotics club, astronomy club, drama society etc. The labs are not equipped with latest equipments and some of the equipments are outdated and doesn't work anymore.

Infrastructure and facilities wise, hostels of our college are not so good as you can see in private institutions but if the hostel fee is taken into account, hostels of my college worth their cost. Also, on comparison basis, the conditions and facilities in the hostels of IET are much better than other similar government colleges like KNIT, BIET etc.

Our college organises an event named Convergence. In this event, alumni of our college are invited to our college to interact with the students and share their experiences and guides the students. The students can be easily contact alumni as most of them are very helpful.

I appeared for UPSEE which is the exam students have to be taken for getting admission in AKTU. I secured around 6k rank. After this, I had to choose colleges and branch according to my preferences. There are a total of 5 round counseling process.

You can't expect a good quality of education from the college faculties but the teachers assigned by HRD ministry for free GATE coaching are very good in their subjects and they teaches so explicitly well.
