MIT Manipal: An overview

ECE is about to have a boom due to the semiconductor industry in the future. The course outcomes of the college aee very well aligned with the industrial demands. Also the 8th sem of college is an on field working semester to get hands on experience to the industry. Exams take place every 2 months however quizzes are taken every week. Mid sems are easier as compared to end sems and can be cleared easily by studying regularly.

For placements at MIT Manipal, you could include the following details: 1. Eligibility for Campus Placements: At MIT Manipal, students typically become eligible for placements from the sixth semester. Various training sessions are conducted to prepare students for the process. 2. Companies Visiting Campus: Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Amazon, and Deloitte visit MIT Manipal for placements. On average, over 200 companies participate in the recruitment drive annually. 3. Package Details: The highest package in recent years has been around INR 44 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum), while the average package remains at about INR 8-9 LPA. Companies offer roles in software engineering, data science, consulting, and core engineering fields. MIT Manipal consistently maintains a placement rate above 90%, with several branches achieving 100% placements for eligible students. I plan to go for a master's degree after graduation.

The yearly college fees I'll be paying is 5.8 lac. It is higher for the students in computer related branches. The fees does not increase every year but might increae for the 2025 batch. 10k registration fee was asked but it was later included in the tuition fee. No other fee was asked except mess and hostel fees. Various scholarship such a merit cum need, achievers, girl child scholarships exist.

There are 2 main fests of MIT Manipal: Tech Tatva and Revels. Tech tatva is the teachfest usually held in october and revels being the cultural fest is held in March-April. Almost all the books needed for the 4 year course are available in the library including some fiction novels. A lot of sports facilities are offered by MAHE in their marena sports complex but some also being on campus such as swimming pool, gym, badminton court, basketball court, football field etc. There exist a lot of cultural and technical clubs for the extracurriculars all run by students.

The hostel is fairly nice and provides everything one needs to live. The security is strict and ensures safety at night. The mess food is not great but works. The menu changes every week and there are special lunches sometimes. The hostel fees depends upon the type of room but the lowest for a triple sharing, non AC, common bath is 53k

Got rejected from BITS as couldn't clear the cutoff. Admission process for MIT is mainly through the entrance exam MET however there is another way i.e. by NRI quota. Board marks are also taken into consideration. The admission process is fairly easy if all the documents are submitted on time.

Faculty to student ratio depends on the number of students un a class as it varies for every other section. For mine it's 1:106. Faculties are easily approachable and clear our doubts very well. Our BET sir is super fun and energetic. There are 2 main exams: mid sems and end sems. We also have internal assessment quizzes online every week. It adds up for the internals. The mid sems are easier than end sems. It is easy to clear them.if studied regularly and paid attention in class.
