Course Curriculum Overview
St xaviers is considered as one of the top most colleges for Economics Hons so obviously the curriculum along with the faculty is guite good. We are not only taught about the theories but are also taughts its impications and applications in real life situations. There are various societies which conduct various events and seminaris which help us to use our skill and to improve our knowledge and skill to cope up with real life situations
Internships Opportunities
Various internship opportunities are provided from the college on the basis of the performance of student in their academics as well as on the basis of their non academic talents ans skills some of the companies are Tata,PWC,Delloite,ITC etc wich prove placement to the students in various fields as per their course selected and knowledge
Placement Experience
St xaviers do provide the students placement but yes its true that all does not get placed as all are not eually talented. I am pursuing acturial science as my professional degree so i think i would be able to manage to get a placement either through college or through linkedln or other placement sites
Fees and Financial Aid
The 1st year fees is devided into 4 installments 1st semester 1st installment-31700(including admission fees) 1st semester 2nd installment-10500 2nd semester 1st installment-12500 2nd semester 2nd installment-10500 For 2nd and 3rd year the fees pattern is the same Fees for BCOM Hons (morning) is For 1st year 1st installment semester 1-34700(including admission) 2nd installment semester 1-15000 1st installment semester 2-17000 2nd installment semester 2-15000 The fees pattern is same for 2nd 3rd and 4th year The college provides a scholarship of 500 based on semester performance
Campus Life
The overall experience till now is great as along with studies we are also engaged in many events which help us to improve our skills and most important is that we are able to. Maintain a disciplined life even after being in college. The rules and regulation of college are strict and rigid
Admission
I had only applied for st xaviers college kolkata and delhi university St xaviers has remained my dream college which i have successfully achieved I gave CUET exam but my score was not good enough to get into the SRCC or other top 3 college
Faculty
As per BSC economics hons course all the professors are amazing with great experience and knowledge Each student have the option to clear their doubt during break or anytime when the professor is free, students can also ask their doubts via mail and other online platforms In 1 semester there are 2 exams and 1 assignment held 1 assignment of 10 marks per subject which is brought down to 5 1 Class internal assignment of 40 marks which is brought down to 20 1 Semester examination of 70 marks 5 marks is allotted for attendance (minimum attendance requirement is 75%)
