I choosed this course because i want learn the world s daily nature of human life of social behaviour that affects the world and i choosed this political science subject because it will help me in future for carrier so that i can remember the political history of past life of our country struggle i love this subject because we can learn that how the dicision were taken on crucial time by our leaders for the country independence how the constitution was written and got implemented in the country how the country got rejoined.

Campus Life

In my college our college conducts various functions for students and teachers our college is always ahead for festival function because to make students more socialistic and to develop the cocurricular mindset in students. Our college has also set a WhatsApp group so to deliver message to every student of every information.

Admission

Firstly i wanted get admission in BSC ( bachelor of science) course in dharwad but because of my family problems i couldn't got the opportunity as aspirants in my inner will i also had interest in BA (bachelor of arts) course so i choose this course

Faculty

Im persuving BA (bachelor of arts) course l took political science, & sociology subject as main course and other courses are provided by college I took all courses in kannada language it easy for some and tough for some students the political science subject is sometimes tough for students as my opinion. 20%of students fail in this subject.

Interview Experience

No i didn't gave any interview written tests or group discussion for admission for my academic education i went straight to office for the form and filled the admission form and paid the fees and gave the documents for verification and i got admission in the college

A good college for starting your new journey

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, psychology and english optional. The branches of criminology and psychology are upcoming in India in the present time. Course taught is revelant and in present. It is regularly updated. I chose tge course mainly due to criminology. Various aspects of the subject is covered in 6 semesters such as forensic, ballistics, cyber, laws, victimology etc. They do take us on field visits. There is one mid sem exam and one final exam. There is record work as well as assignments given at regular interval. The difficulty level is medium.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

My college experience

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
