1st year student's review

The exam will be over in a week. They dont give that much time for studying. I donk know whether it is in my uni alone or for athers too. They conduct class tests regularly. People who take it seriously wont have any burden to study all content the day before the exams. They give a portal called elab which is quite interesting. They give us problem which are like the questions asked during interviews. The duration of one period is 50 minutes. By doing exams here I got a confidence that I can take everything lightly

People here join SRM for assured placements. Companies like Adobe , Amazon , Zoho etc.come here for placements. These companies pock few in a thousand. Other companies with average salary do come here . 90% of them get placed here. And people do get opportunity to go abroad during studying

The fees is quite acceptable as my university is located inside the city. I took the entrance exam and came inside. The tuition fee was 2.75L and hostel fee was 1.4L . They asked caution deposit fee and laundry fee along with the mess fee which was 80k. All these were for one year which was acceptable because it is located in Chennai and it is SRM. I was asked to pay Id fee and book fee which was 15k . Then they asked 10k for CDC . They asked this fee for providing an environment for placements. I wont say it is too coslty . For a year it takes this much even if we live in PGs . Also I opted for AC room. Everything works quite good.

Infrastructure is do good. They have a lot of equipments and AC labs. The restrooms are slightly not good. They have pad dispenser . This campus does not conduct that much cultural events . It focuses mostly on studies.

Actually I was not aiming for this university at all. I applied it as my parents told me to. I joined here through entrance exam which was quite easy to me. I got scholarship in Trichy campus. That scholarship cant be used in anyother campus. According to the rank of SRMJEE I course which I prefered was available in Ramapuram Campus. I even got selected for LPU and VIT kinda uni , but this one was affordable and it was in inside the Chennai city.

The course duration is for 4 years. Every semester contains two CLAs . Lab part is good. You need to score 50% to pass any exams. This university has lot of clubs. Enrolling clubs teaches us to manage any event and participating in the competitions conducted by them let us earn certificates and new things. Exams are quite easy . Some staffs are mean and show partiality to people coming from north(in my opinion).
