Biotechnology is emerging subject in the world and that's why I have chosen the subject. Also in charusat we have applied sciences thus there are subjects common to microbiology and biochemistry. Also syllabus is designed in a manner that if we study these 2 years with full focus than there would be no need to study anything extra if you want to go for any National level exams or Phd entrance exam. First internal comes almost after 2 months completed of the semester which includes both theory as well as objectives. 2nd internal is based on objectives and comes 1 month after the 1 internal. External exams come after 1.5 months of second internal. Before external exam we get reading vacation of almost 15 days.

Our professors have bonding with many companies and institutes which help us a lot to find a internships in reputed institutes. Almost many students last year got paid internship at gsbtm and paid like 10000 a month.

There is almost 99 percentage placements. Also from very good companies. Mostly we have relationship with companies like O2H, Zydus, sunpharma and Intas. Students have to face placement interviews in the last semester of master's during their dissertation. Staring package is 30000 at maximum side and minimum of 24000. Salary hke occurs after 2 years of apprenticeship period. I want to opt for Phd, most probably from the same university.

For masters in microbiology, biotechnology and biochemistry fees is 50000? per semester for now. Also we have to pay 5000? deposit which is refundable at the time one completes their degree. For admission we have to pay 2000? as admission fees. There is no extra library charge or lab charge. Also exam fees is included in semester fees which is ?50000, so there is no need to pay extra for the same. As in biological science intensive lab work occurs so we need to pay per semester breakage charge which differs from batch to batch according to the lose happened to the university because to specific batch. Other than that last semester of masters is dissertation. University gives ?10000 per Student to complete their dissertation work successfully. For biological science their is no fees difference as per the category. Fees is same for general, Obc and sc/st. Yes but there are some scholarships in which sc/st students can apply. Also University provides pgsf fellowship. In this fellowship students has been given two choices they have to chose either of them. First is they get fees waiver and other one is they get 10000 ? for 3 months but they need to work 6 hours a week extra other than college hours. This scholarship is given to the student who topped the exam.

We have many event's like spoural, science for community, science in grace, science manthan, cognizance, vrund, Dj night and many more. We have wide range of books and papers in our library as well as Central library and as recent as now college has got the subscription of e-library called as knimbus and also subscribtion to springer. We have now our own sports complex and university always motives students in extra curricular activities and also felicitate them.

We have hostels outside the campus and girls' hostels are inside the campus. Room are fully facilited including beds, personal cupboards, Air conditioners, 2 fans, furnished bathroom etc and we have share room between 4 people. All the hostels has its own mess and food is fairly good in means of quality and quantity both.

I have never tried for any other college as I always wanted to join charusat. And luckily I got the admission. In eligibility you need to have Bsc degree with you and there is no entrance test for master's admission the one who comes first gets the first chance.

There is enough amount of faculties and also very experienced and helping faculties are there. Almost for 1 course atleast 2,3 faculties are there. And best thing is that they are like school teachers easily approach able. Infact they get very happy if students gets doubts and ask them. They are ready to explain the concepts even 20 times and that is the thing which catches students towards the college. Dr Gayatri Dave: She is our Dean faculty and also a associate professor. She always helps us out when we get into any problem. Dr Bragadish Iyer: He is also an associate professor and HOD of biological sciences. Dr aditi Buch: She is an associate professor. Prof Palash Mandal: He is a professor. Others are Dr joydeep chakroborty, Dr Bhavtosh kikani, Dr Janki thakkar, Dr Ritu vasani, Dr Abhinav Parishar, Dr Seema Amin, Dr Mansi Desai, Dr Janki Patel, Dr Anamika Jha, Dr Murali Sharaff, Dr Ruchi Chaturvedi, Dr. chitra patel etc. The syllabus is explained very nicely by above mentioned faculties and exam question paper comes from the things they taught us in the classroom. We have 2 internal exams to 30 marks each and 1 external exam of 70 marks.
