A Small Glance Of My Big College

I have opted for the bsc biotechnology program firstly but i didn't got my name in merit list of biotech department so that's i have to choose bsc rural technology course. This course has a broad variety of rural development topics. That include the overall development of rural areas and also aims to improve agricultural practices in rural areas via mordern farming technologies. The course is quite good but it needs some improvement in syllabus. The exams of this course is of medium difficulty level.

There are very few internship programmes in the university that are run by individual departments no companies are involved in providing internships. Like the students of my department make organic colours and rakhis during fesitive seasons for the internship and maintain pollution less environment.

Placement services in my college is so bad. As i haven't seen anyone getting a proper placement in good companies. Companies like tcs and wipro came to set a hiring programme but very less persons get hired at the companies. Students become eligible for placement after 6th semester. I would like to continue my father's business after getting a degree. Highest package was of 3 LPA.

Fee is paid in per semester basis in my college. First Semester fee for my bsc rural technology course was 7050. After that second semester fee was 4050 and then third semester fee was 5000. The Fee is quite lower in this university compared to others as it is government aided. Registration fee was only 250 rs, caution fee was 1000 and lab , development fee were included in first sem fee. The fees for my batchmates of categories other than me was same. There are many scholarships and financial aid schemes in my university that aid students financially for their studies. I got 10000 rs as scholarship in my first year of course under the cg postmatric scholarship programme.

My campus life experiences are quite crazy as i spend my day attending very few classes and roaming with friends in the campus as it is spread over 650 acres of land. There are many festivals celebrated like namo festival , food carnival, night concerts, and band audition. The classrooms are well facilitated with smart boards and projectors and smart podiums. Sports facilities are very good in my college as there are proper arrangement and equipments available for many sports like volleyball , badminton, basketball, cricket etc. There are three main groups run by students tarang for music, urchins for plays and acting, abhinartan for dancing.

I chose this college because this was a central university. This is the only one central university in chhattisgarh. This college is better than many of college in bilaspur on the basis of infrastructure development. The development speed of this collge is too better than others. Firstly I wanted to take admission in science college raipur but my name was not there in the merit list because my percentage in 12th was low. Admission was based on entrance exam and then merit list in my college. The biotech programme was the most preferred by students with the high cutoff of 198 marks.

Faculty members are like okk in university. Faculty to student ratio is about 1 : 50. I like Dr. Alka Mishra Mam Who Is Assistant Professor At my department she is very kind and humble to students. There is an end sem exam at the end of every sem and it contains 7 subjects exams. There are different types of question papers for each subject's exam. Like some have 1 question of 70 marks and some have 5 questions of 50 marks and 20 marks.
