Course Curriculum Overview
several aspects of the curriculum influenced my decision to choose this course: Strong Foundation in Core Electronics: The curriculum offers a solid foundation in electronics and communication with courses like Basic Electronics, Digital Systems, and Circuit Theory. I was particularly drawn to the practical orientation through lab work and projects. Interdisciplinary Approach: There’s an emphasis on integrating electronics with computer science, allowing for a broader skill set. This is essential given the growing role of embedded systems and IoT. Focus on Emerging Technologies: The program also covers topics like VLSI Design, Signal Processing, and Wireless Communication, which are vital for both academic and industry-oriented careers.
Internships Opportunities
At Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), students are provided with various internship opportunities to help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry experience. The college has tie-ups with several companies, particularly for fields related to Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Computer Science. 1. Companies Offering Internships: Internships at JIIT are available with a wide range of companies in different sectors. Some of the prominent companies offering internships to JIIT students include: TCS (Tata Consultancy Services): Roles offered include software development, electronics testing, and embedded systems. Wipro: Interns typically work on automation projects, VLSI design, and testing. Texas Instruments: Offers internships in analog and digital design, semiconductor testing, and embedded systems. STMicroelectronics: Focuses on semiconductor devices, IC design, and embedded software development. BSNL and Ericsson: Provides opportunities in telecommunications and wireless communications where students engage in network management, fiber optics, and IoT-based projects. Cognizant, Infosys, HCL Technologies: Roles in software development, machine learning, and networking. Startups and SMEs: JIIT has also fostered relationships with several startups, which provide internships in fields like embedded systems, AI, robotics, and IoT. 2. Stipend and Duration: Stipend: The stipend for internships varies based on the company and role. Major tech companies like Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, and TCS offer stipends ranging from ?15,000 to ?30,000 per month, while smaller companies or startups may offer between ?5,000 to ?10,000. Duration: Internships typically last between 2 to 6 months. Most summer internships are between 8-12 weeks.

Admission
Academic Reputation: JIIT has a solid reputation for its ECE program. Its focus on both theoretical and practical aspects of electronics appealed to me more than other options. Smaller Batch Size: JIIT offers a more personalized academic experience compared to larger institutions like VIT or SRM. I preferred smaller classes for better teacher-student interaction. Location: Being situated in Noida, JIIT is close to major industrial hubs like Delhi and Gurugram, which increases opportunities for internships and industry exposure. Infrastructure: JIIT's labs and facilities, especially for electronics and communication engineering, are modern and well-equipped, which gave it an edge over some other colleges I applied to. Admission process is based on 12th marks or jee marks you can any mode to for admission process
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is good and are EASY to approachable and there are three exams test 1, test2, and endsem exams. Test1 and Test2 are of 20 marks each and endsem Is of 35 marks and 25 marks are for internals and 75% attendance is compulsory there are lab test viva projects
