Likes
- I completely liked my college in all aspects especially the infrastructure, campus life and social interactions between the students of different department. There are several symposiums held in every week in all departments.
- The placement and campus interview where held during 7th and 8th semester, there where several companies from different departments and locations came for the interview.
- The Faculty expertise were good and their Teaching methods were different among them, overall it was good mentorship quality among them.
Dislikes
- Mostly nothing, since its a govt college there are many holidays available but 75% attendance is compulsory so plan your absent days accordingly.
- Not all staffs are friendly. There are few staffs who would delibrately reduce marks in the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed this course as i wanted to join anna university and i wanted to do something different than the regular courses. The exams would be moderate, if you have class notes and study well it would be easy. There are enough time between the exams and nearly 20 to 30 days holidays are available after each semester.
Internships Opportunities
Only 1 or 2 companies gave stifend for internship in the companies, there were totally 2 internship in this course each internship for 30 days at different major fields. After the internship you have to prepare report, power point presentation and a viva round will be held.
Placement Experience
During 7th and 8th semester campus interview were held. Companies like accenture, voltas, tcs, decathlon, Aquarelle came for placements. Highest package would be 7 to 11lpa. Average package is 3 to 4 lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
At each semester i paid ?9000 as i was first graduate student and ?1200 as exam fees. Otherwise the fees would be about 15000 to 18000 for other categories and for SC/ST students there are many scholarships available. For me the fees structure would be, 1. Tuition Fee - 0 2. Campus Life
There are department wise libraries and overall library, several clubs and groups are available. There are several sports and extra curricular activities for students from all departments. There very good facilities available for the students.
Admission
I just applied for Engineering admission, in that for your cutoff mark you would get list of colleges and courses available for your mark and quota will be alloted for each caste division. I only applied for this college.
Faculty
The Faculty to student relationship are generally normal and its not same with all the staff. Most of the staffs are generally friendly and lenient, rarely few staffs are strict. Approximately there are 5 to 6 exams per semester, the exams are usually moderate not very difficult, if you studied enough it would be easy. In my overall exams in this course, there were only 2 to 4 exam that where difficult so nearly 5 out of 40 members would have arrear.
