Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is obviously very old. This won't prepare for real world pronlems you have to grow tour own skills and learn how to apply them. The biggest flaw they have is having computers in labs but not using them wisely. The exams are quite easy most of the time.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are companys like fidelity and jp morgan and similar companies everyone among which provide a role like software developing engineer for interns with a stipend of around 25k and projects such as cyber security wireframes, web-dev, app-dev etc. Though most of the students won't be gettig internships.

Placement Experience

4

6th semester students get eligible for placements, companies like tcs, tcs ninja, cognizant, jp morgan, fidelity, mercedes benz etc. visit our campus there were roughly around 130 companies visited this year with around 800-900 offers. Around 70% students get placed. I actually want to get placed after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees i pay is around 2,76,000 as i have come by comed-k for kcet students its very less like around 80-90k annually. The college would annualy charge some additional fees that being around 20k this is under the table. The fees will be the same for all four years. There is not a distinct details in fee like about registration, admission, lab etc. that was given to us in the fee receipt. There is scholarship for sc/st community kcet students which might even lead to full fee aided off for them. Talking about fees paid by my batchmates its 30 lakhs for management quota students, 16 lakhs for comedk students, 3.5 lakhs for kcet students, for hostel you will be needed to pay 1lakh annually and 25k for transport from south campus hostel to north campus. Scholarships provided include the PMS given to J&k students(entire fee waived off+ additional 1 lakh to spend), North-East students (60% fees waived off) And SC/ST quota scholarship (available for the students belonging to the sc/st community of Karnataka state who have entered via KCET).

Campus Life

1

The annual fest called technieks is held around may each year its a very boring event its like a birthday party of a rich kid and nothing else. Library of our college is something i really like about you cant easily get any book of your choice and if not there is an e library where you definitely will The facilities are very bad (furniture, board, windows, projectors) everything needs renewal. All types of sports are offered at the campus but no encouragement for participations. There are multiple clubs in college but non survived after the split of north and south campus.

Hostel Facilities

2

I live at hostel and here you get a cupboard a small shoe rech a bed a table a chair a shelf and a study lamp, all the rooms are triple sharing, and common washrooms. (Washrooms aren't usable most of the times and cleanig services for rooms not provided adding on they wont fix issues for months) The mess food is not at all good with rats running over the food, the menu doesn't change you have to eat the same food for the entire course????. Registration is easy process just pay 1 lakh and its all done.

Admission

I have applied for various colleges many rejected many had a very high fee, some weren't just good at placement, there was something off on about any college, thus college seemed as uf a perfect fit but after joing i realised it isn't. Its like a school with all the demerits of college. I have came here by clearing an entrance called Comedk the counselling process of Comedk itself is very risky once you opted to sit in counselling you cannot step back or else 2.6 lakhs are gone.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio lies around 1:10 though most of the staff being not teaching. If we talk about the staff who will be interacting with us regularly the ratio becomes 1:30. Every faculty is quite nice and they are easily approachable. I liked balaji sir(very friendly), narender sir(very approachable even seeks insights from students), santhosh sir(friendly), mahesha sir(very chill), mahesha m sir(teaches very well with very immersive demonstration), b k santhosh sir(friendly), sriraksha maam(very lineant), lokesh sir(combines comedy and studies). I would have neutral thoughts on other faculties. Though i really don't like Priyanka rv maam(she doesn't even know what she is teaching she would just rant some english words and ask us their meanings as if its an english class for some 4th grader) and vinuth sir(doesn't teach well but keeps complaining about attendance). The curriculum is like (3-4 credit course with lab component) 2 x 25 marks tests, 2 x 10 marks quizzes, 1 x 10 marks lab exam, 10 labs to attend (2 marks granted for each attendance) 100 marks sem end test Total 200 marks reduced to 100 (3-4 credit course no lab) 2 x 25 marks tests, 2 x 10 marks quizzes, 30 marks activity(such as ppt) 100 marks sem end test Total 200 marks reduced to 100 (1 credit course) 3 x 10 marks quiz 20 marks activity(video or ppt) Total 50 marks increased to 100.
