Likes

The faculties of the college is very polite and approachable. They take the initiative to teach as their methods of teaching is very clear and understandable by students
The campus is kept clean and the washrooms are quiet hygienic
The classrooms are really good and always clean

Dislikes

The college students cannot play in the grounds in the school hours
The college students have no access to the swimming pool
The college campus could have been extended more

Course Curriculum Overview

I had choosed Commerce and I'm pursuing CA right now so the syallabus is more or less the same and hence it made me choose this course. The college do give students orientation and prepare fests for us to work on our own.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 44000 per year

The bcom( hons) fees of Shri shikshyatan College is 57,340 rupees per year The BA (hons)fees of Shri shikshyatan College is 65270 rupees per year The BSC (hons) fees of Shri shikshyatan College is 45,010 rupees per year

Campus Life

We do have alot fests in our college which are worth being a part of it The books in the library are amazing and as a book reader I would love to read all the books available. They also got academic books which students have full access to. They also have a gym. There is no such thing as campus

Admission

I had applied for government colleges but could not get one. I choosed this college over other colleges because compared to other private colleges it's fees is less. As I mentioned in the beginning I had applied for government colleges and according to me i think because of the annual income that I had uploaded was too much

Faculty

The faculty and students relation is quite good according to me and they are approachable, students can go and share their problems without hesitation. The faculties i liked is Apoorva Banerjee (AB) and Shraddha Ma'am(SS). They are the best. The faculty i did not like is Arman sir because of his methods of teaching

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Good for studying but should improve for recruitment

The application form is available on the college website and every other detail regarding fees and application date is available there.
