Likes

Attendance in not compulsory. you can do side course also as attendance is not important.
Maximum students from our college is doing side course like some are competitive exams some are doing business .. basically students are improving their skills
Teachers are very supportive .. they under every students problem .. teachers are always present their to support their students

Dislikes

I don't like the infrastructure.. classes are very suffocating
Cantin is not good .. not good for vegetarian people..
College is too small.. rooms are too small .. desk of the rooms are not good .

I have choosen Bcom honours. As I m pursuing CA. Syllabus help me alot .. most of the syllabus are same.. so I m able to manage both the things .. areas for improvement is college must conduct internship programs

The yearly wise fees I pay is 5530 The tution fees caution fees registration fees and may more are included in yearly wise fees which amount to 5530 The amount of scholarship or financial aid that are available for students is 12k .. scholarship name is vivekanand or kanya shree akhyashree The merit cum needed is maximum 6 cgp per sem tn yearly u get 12k

Campus Life

The festivals held in our college is holy durga puja saraswati puja Eid n many more .. cricket match football match n many more indoor games are held in our campus Unions are their in our college they run social groups etc all the books are present in our library with basically students need to study for their exams .

Admission

As my main goal is to become CA. Its my dream.. i chooses this college over others because attendance is not compulsory and it is near to my home .. yess i got rejected from the other college too because I scored less in class 12th boards .. the percentage criteria of other college more than the percentage I got .. 50 n above percentage is needed to get admission in my college.. admission process is very easy

Faculty

In one class almost 60 students can seat .. faculties are good in nature .. i like mercy maam she motivate each n every student .. she is very supportive .. she is very Frank with each and every student. Per year there is 4 exms 2 internal and 2 external.. out of 100 30 students fails to clear the exams .. college exams are moderate most of the time

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
