Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is competency based curriculum(cbme) And this current curriculum focuses on wthics, communication etc along with academics..because they think it is important for doctors to know how to interact with a patient along with academic excellence

Internships Opportunities

4

As an mbbs student you have compulsorily internship for one year provided in the college itself..after that you can join as junior resident in any department if you want,or can go for your pg or psc preparations.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am studying in a self financing medical college in kerala,my current fees is 7.5 lakhs per year ,it is not increasing that much, but there are some variations according to kuhs yearly,sc st has loess fees around 2 lakhs, and obc has about 7 lakhs, this fees is including all academics and except hostel fees.....admission is solely based on your neet rank and there are no scholarships. As for details: Tution fee:734852. College magazine fee:2000. Library fee:8100. Lab fee:8100. Examination fee:7600. Establishment charge:7500. Transportation:6500. Extended medical practice:8500. Records:2640. Extracurriculars:7660. Student welfare:5000. Total fees;798457 This fees is for general category ,the fees is paid by the government for reserved categories(sc/st).they have to pay hostelfees

Campus Life

4

The infrastructure of the hospital is nice but it could be better for the college.arts, sports is very active and they have several competitive conduction for students interested in such extracurriculars. There is social service club, national service scheme etc. Library has almost all of the medical text books you might need to refer.classrooms are all centralized ac. We conduct arts fest, graduation, halloween, sports fest, onam, christmas, college day, farewell, iftar, hostel day...these are all conducted on the relevant seasons.

Hostel Facilities

4

Its a 4 people room,4 beds,2 fans,4 tables,4 wardrobe, attached toilet, bathroom and a washbasin with a balcony...meal quality is average,it is not very bad. Menu has breakfast as idly, dosa, bread butter, puttu, poori masala, macroni. Lunch as biriyani, meals, gheee rice Dinner : chappathi, rice, poori, dosa Tea snacks: pazhampori, samosa, cutlet, cake Hostel fees is about 95000 per year including mess. You have a lot of nearby pg available, but the fees might not defer much.

Admission

It was based on my NEET rank and l got into one of my preferred college,my rank was not good enough for govt college so l applied to private colleges of kerala and l got selected based on the rank without any reservation

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio:1: 10 They are pretty friendly.. I do like some of the faculties, because of their exceptional knowledge and kindness towards patients You just have to clear neet exam and admission is based on that,im a mbbs student,as you know the course is very relevant, and it is second most difficult to get in after govt colleges

Other Applied Colleges

KMCT Medical College | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

My current college is better

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is a pretty hard one i must say but the feeling of putting on a white coat and looking after patients is surreal and that's the main essence of the job. The curriculum is very vast but each subject is important in its own way. The exams are all conducted in such a way that there's enough time for us to prepare .
