My college provides many facilities like News Room, Conference Hall, Editing Room, Chroma Studio, Computer Lab, Classroom, Sound & Radio Studio, TV Studio and Learning Resource Center. Our college library includes the latest references, periodicals, journals, magazines, and books. In addition to textbooks recommended by the University.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college offers a range of courses in Journalism & Mass Communication, Advertising & Public Relations. I chose a Bachelor in Journalism & Mass Communication and the course is up to the mark. It's a 3-year course and exams are conducted to semester wise. The course ready to industry curriculum and practical learning.

Placement Experience

There are so many companies come for placement with different packages and the companies name that come for the recruitment are Zee Media, DD NEWS, Doordarshan, 24/7 Customer Private Limited, Decathlon, Adecco, Mccann Erickson, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Hindustan Unilever Limited, and etc.

College Events

Many kinds of events organised in our college like Dance, Music, Theatre, Photography, Film Making, Debate and etc were celebrated with much fun. Our college was the focus on the skills, knowledge, and creativity of the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was affordable for me. It was around 37000 per semester excluding the admission fee of 10000 rs at the time of admission and 2500 rs per semester at the time of filling the examination form. The total fee of BJMC was around 230000 rs. In my college, the fees of all courses are 37500 rs to 42500 rs per semester including the exam fees and admission fee is 10000 rs only for one time.

Campus Life

Our college had Kalamanthan cultural society organised an annual festival to integrate the craft, skills, knowledge, and creativity of the students and encourage us to combine their professional skills with art education and tradition and contemporary culture. Many clubs in our college like Dance Club, Music Club, Theatre Club, Photography Club, Film Making Club, Debate Club and etc.

Admission

I applied for an online Entrance Exam and I can be taken in English and Hindi Medium but I chose the English language for the Entrance Exam. The institute provided the entrance exam centre in Delhi. I remember my Entrance Exam date was the first week of July and after 1-week results were declared and I got the admission and paid the fees. The seats are available for management quota students.

Faculty

The faculty of our college are well educated. All faculties are experienced with some of the PhD holders. Our professors provide a good education and also guide us.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Journalism was first introduced in Delhi University at DCAC. The amazing faculty and a proper media studio makes Delhi College of Arts and Commerce a perfect choice for Jouranlism aspirants. The media studio has professional mics, green screen, cameras, teleprompter, switcher and other equipment required for real life learning. The classes are full-fledged, sometimes irregular. Exams are scheduled at the end of each semester. However, internal and continous assesment happen regularly.

The Glimpse of DSJ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.

Placement of our college is pretty good almost 80% students get good placement but at the same time its very important to know that you will get college placement at end of you masters as DSJ provides Five year integrated programme in journalism. If you exit your college after bachelor you might get placement from outside campus.

The eligibility of this course is 12th pass with around 70 per cent which is quite good I think.
