Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always like literature, so I took English literature as my subject. Papers were not that much difficult, but in some semesters we got only 4 months out of 6 months, and in some semester we got more than 6 months.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly we paid 2500 rupees as Admission fees. Tution free was 800 rupees, Exam fee was 500. We got Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship of 12000 rupees. All of my batchmate paid similar amount of fees.

Campus Life

4

In January we celebrate the birthday of Netaji and Republic day. In February we celebrate Saraswati Puja, In August, we celebrate Independence Day. The library otlf the college was quite good. There was proper facilities and technological provision within our classroom.

Admission

I applied in 3 college and I was eligible in both of the college but I took admission in Taki Government College because that is close to my home. After the publication of merit list, we paid the admission fee, after that we go to the college and the teachers verified out original documents and processed our admission. Then they create a WhatsApp group and invited us to join the group, then they took an orientation class. They were too helpful and friendly.

Faculty

Our faculty was so good, as they always support us, helped us wherever we needed, used take extra classes. Ther are so much friendly with us. There are 2 semesters in a year, and in 5th and 6th semester, and in both semester there was 4 external and 4 internal exam. Exams were not that much difficult, only one student fail in the final semester.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
