KLE Tech college review

Positive:- 1. College have a very good infrastructure. 2. Good wifi facilities 3. Labs equiped with latest machines like CNC's , Laser cutting machine , 3-D printers , pcb making machine and so on. Negative:- 1. No proper drinking water facility in campus.

Since our college is not a VTU based college . So there is a flexibility in selection of the subjects and the courses. But the courses and subject syllabus is designed in such a way that it contains the main content of VTU syllabus. So we have additional courses offered like Engineering Exploration and Various other courses that will benefit the students and they get a great exposure of engineering Regarding the exam structure we have minor exams , assignment and end semester exams. 1. Minor exam 1 - 20 marks 2. Minor exam 2 - 20 marks 3. Assignment's - 10 marks End semester exam - 50 marks. As a total we are evaluated for 100 marks for any subject.

The placements in our college are pretty good for ECE, CS and EEE students. They have almost 90% placements every year and also have a huge number of companies visiting the campus for placement . But for core / traditional departments like mechanical and civil the condition is really really worse. Hardly some 4-5 companies comes to the campus for placement and each company hardly recruit some 2-3 people . Even core companies like Bosch and Mercedes Benz are recruiting software based departments Than core departments. Regarding internship's it's clear No. Students have to approach to companies on their own for internship.

Our college is very well known for the events which are conducted every year. In odd Semester's we have event known as Sapphire where we have inter-department competition for Dance, drama, singing and so on. Whereas in Even semester we have National level Tech Fest named as Pleaidies . In this event all the department's conduct's workshop's, Technical competition's in which students from various other college come and attend the event and compete with each other. Which is followed by Bollywood night and DJ nights.

Since our college has three ways for admission . 1. One is through CET exam 2. One is through COMED-K (This is for students who don't belong to Karnataka) 3. Management Quota (Pay money and buy seat) CET exam fees varies from - 35,000- 75,000 rupees. Depends on General , SC and ST. With income of family. This is purely government seat. COMEDK - 1,90,000 Rupees . This is college seat. Management seat - pay 5-6 lakhs according to the demand of college and then regular COMED-K fees. So we have both feasible and expensive fees structure According to government seats and college personal seats.

Basically college does not provide's any scholarships or loan facilities. Regarding Scholarship the central as well as the State government provides to SC and ST caste and to students whose parents have a very low income nearly less than 1.5 lakhs per annum. Regarding loan facilities students should approach the banks on their own. College will only provide the expenditure certificate which is required by the bank.

Regarding extra curricular activities college is really good. I am saying this because I am a third year student of Mechanical and I have conducted various events with my team for junior's. Labs are added into the main academic 's and our college also conduct's interdisciplinary sports events like cricket, Badminton, Football, Table tennis , badminton and so on .

The Alumni group of BVBCET college is really appreciable. The main alumni of our College is Smt. Sudha Murthy (co- founder of Infosys) is a student from our college . And we have various other alumni members from different companies that started /incubated in our very own college. Regarding Senior students even they are very helpful and they always come forward as a mentor to help the junior's in various aspects . Most important thing we don't have any Ragging in our college. But we have a quite interaction session which they carry out in a very funny way during fresher's party.

All the faculties in our College have a very good experience in teaching field. They all have at least 5-7 years of experience and some with 20+ years of experience. All the faculty members are very friendly with students and they always help us in all the aspects . Whether it's related to project mentoring or any issues in understanding the concept's in the class. Most important thing is that all the lectures think from students perspective . They think from students perspective and their benefits before assigning any task .
