Likes
- It's a lovely place as people in the campus be it the management or the students both are so friendly that you just being in the college forever.
- I am a part of Ekana society which is a dance society and we have performed as a team not just inside the campus but have represented our college in intercollegiate fests too.
- Placements are great as BCA students here are handed placements close to engineering students packages.
Dislikes
- Too quiet as students are not allowed to make any noise in the college or in the hostels.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum has all the languages and coding just like engineering studies has. We are also plaed in the same companies as CSE engineers do. So, its a lovely unit to be a part of as a whole. The curriculum is such that we actually solve the real world problems inside our labs and the difficulty level therefore is quite high.
Placement Experience
Unless and until we have 8+ CGPA in the fors four semesters, we can't sit for placements. So, we have to maintain that and also have to keep upgrading our skills. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Deoitte, and Black Rock among others are the ones who offered BCA students jobs worth 5-10 lakhs and the average was along around that.
Fees and Financial Aid
BCA fees is quite nominal as it is 150k a year. School of informatics which comes under presidency university has the BCA course and the scolarships to SC/ST and othe rmerit based students are provided.
Campus Life
What a bautiful campus that we have. Gates are long and strong so security breach impossible. Mindrocks happens every year and nearly 6-8 singers are brought to the campus to perfrom. Jonita Gandhi and Gajendra Verma came this year. Annual cultural event is called Invincia which is more of a student event as students perform in that fest. Along with that we have traditional days and other festivals too celebrated within the campus.
Admission
I didnt aplly elsewhere as Presidency University is right next to my parents house. Admissions are based thoroughly on merit and this is where the real pride comes in. No undeserving crowd can ever be a part of presidency university.
Faculty
Faculties are mind heartening as we have the best set of faculties among all. All are top level engineers and not just the BCA students but they teaches the BBA students too. Hence, imagne we are being taught staight by the ones who prepeares engineers. Pride and novelty both at the same time.
