Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course of the branch in which I'm in is very much relevant, CSEAI is a good branch as it has courses which are relevant to todays era.In the first semester it has made us learn two languages, python and R. R is a language which is very much imporant for statistical and data analysis. The courses such as probability ans statistics also enables us to learn more about AI and mathematics, which makes sense in this branch. The time given for first semester was approriate I feel , but managing self study , college classes and exams along with life skills makes it a bit tough to manage but i guess that is what college is all about , we should learn to manage things rather than just keep complaining.AReas which needed to be improved in the courses is that labs for courses which are interdisciplinary such as BEE (Basic electrical and electronics engineering) and Environmental sciences should not be there as it is not of much use , no one is interesting in doing things just for the sake of doing.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are offered majoritarily to thir year students, by companies such as microsoft, linkedin , sap labs, texas instruments etc. Having good projects does give you an edge over others. many students secure good internships here, all this is according to the data I have heard .

Placement Experience

4

The main feature of this college is placements only , as said by various students( still speaking only heard things, as a fresher). A lot of companies hire from here and lots of offers are given by companies such as microsoft , sap labs , texas instruments , uber etc.The highest package offered this year was 1crore by motorq , it was secured in cseai branch. Although the placements are still going on, so data of number of students placed this year is not know, till last year almost 90-95 percentage of students were placed.Since I'm just a fresher , I am currently exploring and getting to know things , after the degree I aim for getting a good job plus getting into the civil services.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for first year is 144500. fees for second year is 155000 , for third year it is 155000 and for fourth year it is 175000. the hostel fees for first year is 145000 divided into 95000 as hostel fees and rest as mess fees. The hostel fees for rest of the years will keep increasing but increases by a small margin, the fees is very affordable and facilities offered by the college as well as the hostel is very good according to the fees.Reserved category students are exempted from paying the fees, which is a very big advantage of being in this college. the tuition fees for first year is 1.5 lakh, which included the registration fees of 95000, rest of the first year fees is divided into developent plus lab fees. For students who are in need of financial aid, various scholarships are availabe such as the reliance foundation scholarship, katalyst , and other various scholarships provided by th college on the basis of annual income and grades.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is good as students maintain a good vibe in the central lawn plus there are clubs of societies as well, so you can be a social bird if you want. Fests such as jhilmil(Diwali fest), Tarangana(cultural fest) and innerve (technical fest) are conducted. The classrooms are good and have the basic facilities, washrooms are usable, sports is also there such as kho-kho,basketball , badminton etc.volunteering societies such as rotoract club are also there which aim at helping others such as street dogs , children who do not have parents and donating others.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is good , rooms are good and mess is also good. people become bored of mess food after some time but yes you get food to survive. The price is not much as compared to private institutions so a bit cheap. For getting the hostel you need to submit a form after counselling, and you willl be provided with hostel if you are an outside delhi candidate living faraway from Delhi.Hostel fees is 95000 and mess fees is 45500 , which is not very less but as compared to other colleges or even IIT's , it is comparable. not very cheap but yes affordable.

Admission

I chose this college because of its location plus branch , as well as its name.No. I was getting other good colleges such as NIT's and IIIT's but was not getting a preferrable branch in NIT's , also did not wanted to go too much far away from home. Asdmission into my college is done via JEE MAINS, after which counselling is conducted by JAC DELHI . Since jac delhi colleges have 85% reservation for delhi students, the cut off for delhi based students is a bit low but that does not mean you do not have to study for getting that much rank, it still requires same amount of hardwork as outside dlhi students, whose cuttoff is very high. The most preferred branches are CSE and CSE-AI.

Faculty

3

The faculties are mostly helpful , as far as my experience as a first year is cconcerned, they have been helpful and approchable. Few of them are not very particular about what they are teaching but most of them are well versed with their subjects. I personally liked our communication skills professor Dr. Bhavya, she does not only focus on her subject but also involves real life examples in her classes , wihch makes it more interesting and engaging. Another faculty of ours which I liked is Dr. vandana ma'am , she teaches us probability and statistics. Her teaching style is very particular and she provides us with all the resources and content , wihch is appropriately exam based. The faculties which I did not like include Ms. Nandini ma'am , she is our python teacher and teaches at a very fast pace. For a subjecct like python , which we did not study in our school, the teaching should be clear , rather than just dictating everyting and expecting us to be at advanced level just in the middle of first semester itself.Same goes with our IT workshop teacher, she did not even teach the syllabus and we had to learn evryting by ourselves , which includes even figuring out what the syllabus actually is.Till now , we have given the mid semester exams of first semester, the toughness level was medium except the python paper which was very much advanced as compared to the level of a fresher. Also in the first paper time management was an issue, which we became habitual of, as we proceeded with the papers.however , many students are able to excel in the exams here, the courses are very much relevant , the interdisciplinary courses make us study subjects such as environmental sciences , but that is fine I believe, otherwise people will only be studying core subjects at the first year level.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Biotechnology)

Did not wanted to join this branch as I would get more oppurtunities in IGDTUW, being a girls college it provides better oppurtunities to girls as compared to DTU biotechnology

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
