Remarks
I will say this college is very average in most of the aspect but it is the institute in the entire country which has more than 4 incubation schemes running for helping startups. The Professors are also very supportive and take much interest in listening to your ideas and helping you out.
Course Curriculum Overview
As College of Technology Engineering Udaipur is a state government technical College it follows the same course curriculum that is prevalent in IIT and NIT. College of Technology and Engineering comes under MPUAT university. In a single semester there are around 6 to 7 subjects of different credits. There is one midterm and final examination.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities provided by the college for the prospective students of 4th year is not so very good in comparison to the colleges like an NIT and IIT. Though there has been very much improvement in placements in the last few years. The mining department and the agriculture department has a placement of 100%.
College Events
They are various events that are celebrated in the college. The two main events and the Grand ones are the college technical fest and the university fest. Apart from these two events there are various workshops and guest lectures being organised almost every second or third week.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the college is a State Government College the fees here is affordable and much feasible in comparison to the private institutes offering similar courses. The fees for a year is around 75,000 for two semesters. Including all the expenses it is still below 1 lakh for a year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship to the students of all the branches who have highest marks in the merit list. Tuition fees are waived off for those students. Only two persons in each branch can avail this scholarship. Apart from this scholarship is given to the gold medalist of each branch with the sum of 10000 Rupees.
Campus Life
The sports is organised at the college is the biggest sports event in the City.It has events of all the major games. Apart from these inter branch competitions are also held. There is a wooden Indoor basketball court. Sports facilities include swimming pool cricket ground Football ground hockey ground, two basketball grounds and volleyball ground.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provided by the college are very clean. Infrastructure is great. All the hostels of the colleges ok with high speed Wi-Fi and the average speed is about 2 mbps so you can do any work without any problem of internet. The quality of the food given in the mess is not very good you have to adjust with that.
Alumni/Alumna
Though there is not much interaction with the alumni of the college. There is a very healthy interaction with the seniors. The special party is one of the most awaited event of the entire year. The seniors guide the students in every expect may it be the syllabus or any help regarding any project or internships.
Faculty
The faculty in the college is very experienced and knowledgeable. The two departments of the college that are Agriculture Department and the mining department have very highly skilled professors. Before 3-4 years there was some shortage of teachers in the college but now there is no such shortage or any deficiency. Except these two departments all the other departments also have experienced and knowledgeable teachers.
