Review as First Year Student In Vivekananda College

I chose this college as it was not too far from my home. Vivekananda College is a very reputable college and many famous personalities have passed out from this college. It is a very good college for every desired general course. Though this college is a good and renowned one, it doesn't prepare the students for the real world that much. I would like if professors over there give us a little detailed notes, or else it becomes difficult for us to figure out what to study during exam times.

This is a government college under Calcutta University. During admission, students pay 4,640Rs. The total course cost Rs 28.4k. However, this fee is different for different courses. I have a friend of mine who opted for Political Science Honours in this college and he had to pay 3,440Rs during admission. His whole course costs Rs 17,840.

There are several festivals held in this college. I am a fresher and I have attended three different fresher parties for three different departments. Also, there is a huge field where you can play football and cricket. There's also a room for indoor activities and games. In that same building, there's also a student's reunion club where you can go for refreshments. We don't have a library but we do have a stationary shop where you can find every student's essentials. There are also several social clubs and any students can join them.

This is a government college and if you want to do your classes from day one in this college, first you have to sign up in the Centralised Admission Portal by the government of West Bengal. There, you have to log in with your details. And then, you have to choose your desired college and course. Rest, you have to wait for the result day. The admission experience was all over very smooth and the respective college will provide you with important dates for verifications and other paperwork. If you score more than 90 on your desired subject, you won't be getting any rejection and will get a chance in the first-preference college only.

Faculty is wide in this college. Once you enter the college campus, everyone over there is eager to help you with directions to offices and classes. Also, the faculty members are very friendly. They are always there to help and guide you. There's no such faculty I hate for now. And about the exams, they take exams once per semester. And the difficulty level of the question paper doesn't depend on the college. It depends on the Calcutta University. Not many students fail the exams.
