Remarks
Starting with positive ones, the cleanliness is given very importance, every floor is equipped with 2 toilets and 2 water kiosk, every class is fully air conditioned and the technology for smart classes is also available in the class. Coming to the few negative ones, the food sold in canteen is quite expensive. Thats it!
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure was according to the Calcutta university prescribed norms. Annual exam used to be held in college which was very beneficial for C.U exams. The exam pattern was exactly similar to the CU exams.
Placement Experience
The Bhawanipur College is one of the few colleges where various companies from different backgrounds come to recruit Freshers. Almost 50 to 60 companies ranging from banking, accountancy, insurance, finance, administration etc came to college and recruited many freshly graduated students.
College Events
The Bhawanipur College is one of the few colleges in Kolkata that provides opportunities for students to participate in various different kinds of events. From cultural events to social events, one will find events happening all the year around. The most famous is the annual college fest called UMANG which is the best.
Fee Structure And Facilities
With the amount of facilities, right from qualified teachers all the way upto all the year events and not forgetting the porsh infrastructure, the fee structure is a bit more expensive as compared to other colleges .
Fees and Financial Aid
The college has no loan facility available of its own, as per my knowledge. You can avail external loans. As far as scholarship is concerned the college has no scholarship of its own. You can opt for national scholarship.
Campus Life
The Bhawanipur College has the best in class sports arena with the combination of both indoor and outdoor games such as cricket, basketball, badminton, chess, table tennis, carrom, snooker etc. The library is also very beautiful with a wide range of books.
Alumni/Alumna
There is a seperate section for alumni in the official website of Bhawanipur. They provide sufficient help of contacted but not much. The seniors if contacted most of them are happy to cooperate with your problems with few exceptions.
Faculty
I am proud to say that The Bhawanipur College employs Chartered Accountants to teach. Most of the teachers for practical subjects were CA's. Other faculty members were also very helpful. From the office staff to the librarian every one was good.
