Course Curriculum Overview

2

Since i didn’t get admission over Christ university, nect i got a call from agency saying Yenepoya University has seats left. So i did my admission. Curriculum wise this is new campus. If students expect what should be a college then its not here. If you want to study and do your own business then this place is for you. Otherthan no entertainment. Exam pattern is different. Like internals and semester exam they conduct with 4 questions. First two long essay for 15 marks and ladt two for 10 marks. Even if you don't have content to write, you have to write it for that marks. Also teachers shows their revenge on your paper if you have bad relationship with them. Also we have journal presentation abd case presentation, we didn't do that before so all students are clueless about how to present. Teachers won't show any demostration. You yourself have to do everything by your own thats what masters takes place.

Fees and Financial Aid

At Yenepoya University, during admission I've pais 26000... and 2000 as for the agency which we approached. Rest of the 25000 was paid on the completion of admission process that was taken place from campus. After that no extra amount we paid. I've opted Msc Clinical Psychology and its two year course. Per semester its 47500 fees. And in Mangalore, at Mudip campus for our same course its 65000 per semester. Mangalore and Bangalore course fee, and hostel fees differs. For Hostel i paid 10000 as deposit. When i went there i couldn't find that facility in that hostel for a 9000 per head. So i left there and found a paying guest space which i got for 6k. So i stayed there only. As of it banglore other than your academic for other purpose like buying records, sheets, any other programs, student only have to take the money. College won't provide any money. And In Don Bosco Arts and Science College, the fees for 3 years Bsc Psychology was 15k per semester. And during admission i paid 2k i dont remember for what we paid. And in hostel i paid 18k deposit and 5k per month rent.

Campus Life

4

Infrastructure of the college well Porsche area. Like AC classroom comfortable chair and table. Here there is new campus in other place still construction work is going on. Medical courses are in new campus and arts and business course's are in bcit campus.

Hostel Facilities

2

For college hostel they are asking lakh for one year with all facilities but there is curfew. Also college bus transportation available. Also has strict rules and regulations. Chappathi, biriyani, south India meals are more.

Admission

Comparing other colleges our college differs since this is a new campus. Since you are used to management things then you'll get adjusted with college. For the college admission, eligibility criteria for specific course they'll mention in their website. Studnets can go through it even syllabus they have provided. Here our syllabus very new where references book we cant find inbour library which they have mentioned in the syllabus. I choose Christ because i need Neuropsychology subject i wnet through the syllabus over there. That was fit for me. And i applied. They'll conduct entrance exam and interview for the admission in Christ and its toughest.. you have to prepare by yourself very hard. 3 attempts of exam they conduct. Like on march, april and May of every year. Most of the admission get over within first two attempts. Third one i was applied and i was unlucky couldn't do great in interview. But theory was good for me and it was easy. If you have less confidence like me during interviews then you have to prepare yourself. And go for it. In Yenepoya University no entrance nothing you can take direct admission seat will be yours.

Faculty

1

To be honest if i can say... teacher student relationship is not that much bonded. Its like we are not even getting proper support from our teachers. If we tell them something they secretly personally target and shows their revenge on us in someway. Department teachers won't talk each other at all. They all fear vice principal for no reason and only if something we need we have to get it our own. Teachers won't ask and do it for us. We are clueless. Also if something we need to do on a certain time they are announcing it the days night before only. Like you have to submit tomorrow morning like that. They are last minute people that makes all students to go through a lot of pressure.

Other Applied Colleges

Christ University | Master of Science [M.Sc] (Neuropsychology)

Seats were filled in the first attempt of entrance exam. I was applied in the 3rd attempt. Once it was done there werecsaying seats were completed in the first attempt itself.

Food and nutrition articles in newspaper made me to take this course. As it had full scope in that time. Actually curriculum is very poor in preparing us for real world application. Practical session must include more of industrial visits and projects related to industry. We had enough time to study .

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly distributed among the 2 years. The first year broadly covers the course work, and learning of the laboratory techniques. Followed by a mini project and a major project under a professor of interest. Stem cell biology always intrigued me and this course offered exactly what I want. The curriculum focuses on training students very rigorously to make them fit for harsh conditions and situations in the real research world.
