Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose horticulture due to my interest in floriculture. However, i realized the vast scopes of horticulture , it comprises all the fruits, vegetables, ornamental, plantation and spice crops which has huge income generation in india as it is an agrarian country as well as there is scope for export and import. Some improvement can be made in the course curriculum by making it more practical based rather than theoretical .

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is provided at the final year. However there is change due to change in syllabus by the 6th dean committee... Companies like dhanuka hires interns from RLBCAU, Private startups like happy pot hires internship during the final year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee semester wise is increasing year by year however I'm paying 14800 per year and we get nts scholarship which is 3000 per month at the end of semester given by ICAR. The merit heeded to avial this scholarship is 7.0 OGPA for general and obc category and 6.5 OGPA for SC and ST caste.

Campus Life

4

Various religious festivals are organized in the university along with Agri unifest held at different universities. The library provides all the academic related books. The library is very well maintained with latest books and magazines and other publications along with daily newspaper . The classroom has smart board and podium where lectures are given through ppts. All classrooms have ac. There is student run group called the SPARSH in charge of cultural, literary, sports, scientific, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is no hostel fee. However we have to give hostel mess fees of ?2600/- per month. The hostel room provides a bed, chair, table, cupboard and water cooler to be used in summer. The hostel surrounding is very neat and clean with a lawn outside. Vegetarian meals are served on most days. Non veg meal is given twice a month on Sunday.

Admission

I applied for this college mainly because it is a central university and is more affordable than state agriculture universities. The facilities available in hostel are top notch in this university. Clean and hygienic. I applied by giving icar aieee exam. However right now admission is done through CUET exam.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are good. Lectures are given via ppt and many renowned scientists and guest scientists from nearby institutions also come to give lecture. Pathology department has the best faculties. However agri engineering department is not upto the mark in terms of teaching. There are two quizes a mid term and end term involving a practical exam per semester. It is relatively easy to pass exam.

Placement Experience:

The placements for the B.Sc Agriculture course at Invertis University are growing but may not be very high compared to technical courses. Some companies visit the campus for agriculture-related roles such as agri-input companies, seed companies, fertilizer companies, and marketing positions. Students with good communication and technical knowledge usually get good opportunities. However, not every student may get a direct campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.
