Experience of a 1yr Student @MMMUT

I am in my first year of college so the syllabus we study is more or less the same for all branches but I find my course relevant to the current industry standard as we study with the faculty and the best peer group possible in the region and we have industrial relevant labs and softwares built with partnership and skill with various big firms..

From the end of 3rd year students are eligible for campus placements the college also has a training and placement cell which trains students are the placement on the 2nd year itself the come the number of companies are more than 100-150 there are many big companies mainly Microsoft Flipkart Amazon HP that come and hire, here Google also hires from this college remotely and the major companies like TCS Wipro Infosys LNT for civil and Mechanical student also come and hire The average package of the overall colleges somewhat above 8 lpa and the highest package offer is around 50 lpa that was from Google

Total fee for 1st year is ?1,37,500/- Of which Tution fee is ?75,000/- Examination fee is ?10,000/- User charges (labs, library etc.) is ?24,500/- University development fee is ?20,500/- Other charges are of ?7,500/- For the 2nd/3rd/4th Yr fee is ?1,29,500/- For tution fee waiver students tution fee is waived off only i.e. ?75,000/- Fee for all categories is same. The main scholarship that students avail is UP Govt. Fee Reimbursement. Other than that some pvt scholarship are also availed by students mainly of Reliance, SBI, ONGC etc.

There are various events and first that happen all around the year the main cultural fest that is Abhyudaya and the main techfest that is TechSrijan are the main ones. Other than these major ones there are various societies and clubs which have their annual fest as I am in electronics and communication the annual event of electronics and communication engineering society also happens other than these all events the one of the major event is HEATS that happened in the month of December I guess. The college also has its own cricket stadium and football ground also has all kind of sports indoor/outdoor the college also has NCC students are interested in armed forces and all.

I applied for the AKTU counselling also and also apply for MMMUT counselling also but the branches that I admire to get admitted I didn't get in the top 3 colleges I was getting some private college in NCR region in which I was not that much excited for so that is why I opted mmmut as it is near to my home it's a great college with fantastic alumni network and great infrastructure however fees is on a higher side I guess. I got admission through JEE mains exam and mmmut counselling the cutoffs and the ranks for this year for this college has lower the but if wish to be in this college you should be in top 8-10% students of the total jee crowd. And if you want branches like cse your rank should be around 60,000 i.e. top 6%

The ratio of teacher to students is somewhat good. Some teachers are very supportive and some are just not (especially beginners). Overall, faculty is great. There are mainly two exams in one semester i.e. Minors ( or Midsem) and Majors (or Endsem). Just 2 in 6 months and 4 in a year, no any other test or exam or something. That is great for students who want to explore different different fields as academics are hectic but a bit easier when exams are less in number. Our seniors give 2 minors but we give only 1 minor (#rule change). Engineering exams obviously on difficult side but subject related to language, social science, human values are very easy.....
