Course of the college is definitely according to the University of Calcutta. Exams are same as the university, now CBCS is in practice. There will be two semisters every year. You have to qualify as a honours student in order to appear in the university exams.

Scottish Church College has an wonderful placement cell. It is considered one the best in Kolkata. You will find it in the Millennium building of the college. It is always open for the students, there you will meet a warm and welcoming placement officer.

Saraswati Puja: Though not celebrated in the college, but the Students' Union conducts it outside the campus. Fresher's Welcome: It is celebrated annually to welcome the new students. It consists of various performances from the students of the college, music bands and special DJ performances. Rev. Alexander Duff memorial lecture: annual lecture organised in the honour of the founder of the college, a Scottish Christian missionary Rev. Dr. Alexander Duff. Prominent personalities from various fields honours the program. Annual Retreat: It is organised mainly for the Christian students but non-believers and students of other faith are also welcomed to join. Caledonia: Caledonia is the annual fest of the college. It is a 5 day event and every Caledonian waits for entire year for these five golden days. It includes cultural competitions, different sports, art competitions and many more. Second last day include famous band perfomance and guest performance (usually someone from bollywood) and last day is for DJ night. Christmas: Being a Christian college, Christmas is celebrated with great show and enthusiasm. Everyone is welcome to take part in the Christmas program.

Fee structure is not expensive. Feasible is the correct word. You may also apply for a totally free studentship, if you're finding financial problem and you're a good student. Most of the departments of this college are subsidized by the Government of West Bengal.

College provides and has a facility of free studentship. Students from underprivileged background but good at academics may apply to the college for the scholarship or free studentship as it is called in the Scottish Church College.

Departments of science is exceptionally good in the Scottish Church College. College has modern labs of botany, zoology, physics, chemistry and computer. Extracurricular activities include activity clubs luke photography, literary, debate, quiz, drawing, drama and many more. College owns a field where annual sports and other sports event are organised.

I didnot opt for a hostel, but I must say there are very less colleges in Kolkata with such beautiful hostels. But hostel allotment discretion rests with the college authorities and students from the other districts and States ate given first preference.

Senior students are very very helpful. I've never felt that I'm new or junior here. They treat with respect and honour you as one of them. There have been no complaints of ragging, even the slightest, in the college, in years.

Faculty of the Scottish Church College is one the best in West Bengal. Their in-depth knowledge and well planned teaching process will make you pass with flying colours. Digital class and other innovative teaching practices make the classes very special.
