Despite many limitations from college side many meritorious and hardworking students get placed at good and reputed firms.The only thing that makes BIT Durg stand out from other local regional colleges is the boundness of the teachers that curriculum is actually taught.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is at par with many reputed institution of India.Course curriculum is in accordance with the guidelines of AICTE(All India Council of Technical Education). Curriculum is strictly followed in my college and standard books are referred by the professors.
Placement Experience
Due to lack of industries in the region and influence of the college to attract companies,not many companies visit for campus placement.Those who visits offer low packages and sometimes the job profile offered is out of the league from the course which the applicant is pursuing.Thus the students end up applying for non-campus placements and mostly move to other cities.This is the main reason that more than 75% students are more focused preparing for exams to go for higher studies.
College Events
The only major event of college is OJAS,a annual technical fest of BIT Durg,with a footfall of more than 3,000 annually.Apart from OJAS there are small event organised on special occasions,many of which goes unnoticed by most of the students
Fee Structure And Facilities
I think it will be among the most feasible and affordable free structure in India.Semester wise fee cost around ?37000 (without mess and hostel charges) for a general student pursuing Bachelor of Engineering.The fee structure is regulated and decided by DTE, Chhattisgarh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan can be availed from any local branch of banks available in the region and all the necessary assistance will be provided by the college.There is scholarship scheme for students who are either economically backward or socially backward.It is usually notified around mid-semester.
Campus Life
Labs are well equipped with latest equipments,tools and machines.These are properly maintained and administered by lab incharges.Sports and extracurricular activities, as such are not much promoted by the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite diverse and they can be found in various spheres of the society.Although college does not bridges the gap between students and alumni,but one can connect with alumni via many online platforms and alumni is always there to help.
Faculty
Minimum education qualification of every teaching faculty is post-graduation,with many professors either pursuing or completed PhD.Yet only a few are good at teaching and the same cannot be firmly said about other faculty members.
