Likes
- Faculty is really good and supportive. All the teacher and other staff are always there to help. Mentors are there for each group to be raised queries related to anything.
- Campus is really good. Be it the square one, apha zone or beta zone, everything is spacious and well organized.
- Placements opportunity is good in Chitkara University. A large chunk of companies ranging from mass hirers to great package numbers appear in the college for campus placement.
Dislikes
- Fee is a little unaffordable. Everything even the uniform and other basic things you have to pay extra to be at this college.
- Due to large crowd, sometime it is difficult for a person to reach out for any help.
- Too much examinations and attendance are other two things which could be better.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum covers topic applicable to your goals. This is a major motivation. Rela world applicability is often a strong motivator. Hand on labs and case studies often make a curriculum more appealing. Packing and structure could be more better. Certain resources are outdated, that coils be updated.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Amazon and Tech Mahindra provide internship opportunities. Stipened are usually in between 20000 to 60000. Final project is given by college in 6th semester. It is usually taien in contention for the opportunity to appear in the more Placements programs.
Placement Experience
After 5th Semester, students are eligible for placement. More than 100 companies visits like Amazon and Razor Pay. Avergae package is 7-8 LPA. Highta package varies from 40 LPA to 1 CR PA. More than 80% of the students gets placed in the campus placement provided by the college. Plans after degree is to continue working in the companies I got placed in.
Fees and Financial Aid
80000 per semester fee. It included everything like tutuion fee lab fees and other compulsary charges. 20000 is admission fee which is refundable. 30000 per semester is bus fee and 10000 per semester is hostel fee. 8000 rupees extra for uniform.
Campus Life
A number of festivals are held like Rangmach and Talent Show. Across the year, events and festivals have been organised by different clubs. Also, sports tournaments are too held usually in the September-November months. Sports events includes Cricket Tournaments ,Chess Tournaments and Badminton championships
Admission
I applied to Chandigarh University and CGC other than this, but I choose Chitkara over other two as it had better campus, better Faculty and resources. Also, it had better Placements opportunities compare to the other two universities. Admission process is through Extrance examination. For BE course, Jee Main score and 12 th score is taken into contention for the allotment of the seats. Cutoffs are generally eveGe for this college. For BE, its is 60% in 12th and Jee Main score is checked to allot the sections respectively.
Faculty
Faculty is really helpful. Specially the mentors of each and every groups and classes are always there to help even in the offline hours. Rastogi sir and Mukesh Sir are really helful and easily approachable. Neetu mam I didn't liked due to her bad behaviour towards some students. Exams - FA's are conducted five times every semester and ST's are cinducted thrice every month. Best of 2 are taken in contention for overall cgpa. Then there is final examinations for every semester.
