My medical college experience

Our mbbs course follws a CBME curriculum which stands for competency based medical education. Ot emphasises the importance of social relationships . That is student patient relationship. Bedside manners etc

We have internship oppurtunity in our college itself. After 4 and a half years of study , we have an year of internship .during internship we have a stipend of 25k per month.we will be posted in different departments in different intervals

Course fee is around 25k each year For first year the course fee was 23000 For second year it is 26000 There are 5 and a half years ,the last one year is internship where we will get a stipend of 25k I have applied for a scholarship but havent yet attained it

Campus life is very good here. We have many cultural programs like onam christmas etc. we also have so many arts and sports fests such as interzonal competitions , intermedicos, fine arts etc Classrooms have centralised ac and all other infrastructures are good

Im staying in government hostel . There are six students in each room . We have a fridge and a washing machine . Meal quality is good . We have non veg on 5 days . Hostel is very affordable. The rent is only 40rs per month. Mess fee is around 3000

Thrissue govt medical college is one of the best medical colleges in our state. Eligibility is the neet exams. We should score a decent rank in neet inorder to get an admission here. I also applied to calicut medical college but i didnt reach their cutoff marks

All Our college faculties are highly expert knowledgeful in their respective subjects. The put all their effort in making us understand the topics. There will be three internal assesments and atlast a university exams . Exams are usually tough

There is a gym , an indoor stadium, one ground, one cricket stadium, many cafeterias in both college and hospital . There is no curfew in hostel we can go out and in of the hostel by informing the warden . The famous hangout places include sobha city mall in thrissur
