A reputed University

Positive: it has a good repute, has got good infrastructure and also big name faculty specially for the fine arts and visual arts section. Has a huge organisation, promoting art and culture in every corner of the world. Negative: My department, Western Classical Music is new but it hasn't got any good faculty yet. And so is the infrastructure which is not yet developed

The course is under developed. As it is a new course, a lot of change in the syllabus is needed. Faculty with proper knowledge is required. Whatever we are doing, we are just trying to gain knowledge from many external sources.

No. There is no such opportunity. This university specializes in just fine arts and arts. Thus there's no chance of any placement opportunity. Although students from this university are working in great places and Rabindra Bharati University has a name.

I am writing this review on 18th March 2019, and today itself our University is celebrating Basanta Utsav attracting a crowd of over 2lakhs. Yes there are lots of events and festivals celebrated each year and thats is a must have for a Fine arts and arts specialised university.

Fee is too less. At an average of ?2000/ sem or less. Also merit students who have scored 55% or above can avail Swami Vivekananda Means and Merit Scholarship which will make your study cost absolutely free.

The tuition fees is very cheap as it is a govt University. As I said above ?2000 / 6 months or less. So loan is not required for studying here. But you can avail Swami Vivekananda Means and Merit Scholarship where you can get ?1500 for Under Graduate and ?2000 for Post Graduate courses

Music, Dance, Drama are the soul of Rabindra Bharati University. Anyone who knows about Rabindra Bharati University will know how good it is for art and culture (just after Viswa bharati). Apart from Music, dance, drama, the university is equipped with modern computer labs and modern gymnasium. The university conducts regular sports and has a huge ground for football and cricket.

I have not opted for any hostel as my home is 2hrs away by train. And I love to have mom's food and my sweet bed. Hostel facilities are available but very less. The infrastructure is good and cost is cheap with 24×7 wifi (RBU Wifi). You only need arrange your food.

Anyone who gets enrolled to Rabindra Bharati University becomes a family for lifetime. Such is the bonding. Alumni association is present but it is much more than that. Every student since the inception are attached to the university. We learn a lot from the seniors and also we try our level best to comfort our juniors.

Faculty for western classical music is not at all good. Run by guest lecturers with very limited knowledge. They are running the university. Syllabus is not at all up to the mark as per international standards and thus it needs to be renovated
