College Experience

I'm pursuing B. Tech. in computer science with AIML as specialization. I feel the theory for the program is quite much as compared to the practicals which makes a great difference in the preparation. But I feel this is the case in most of the colleges in India because the syllabus has got a bit old as the time is passing by.

In offline interships, the stipend goes from 1000-50000 or more. In the online internships, the stipend is lesser approx 5000-10000 or more. According to me, this is a decent scenario if you want to get some interships.

Campus placement is provided but mostly students prefer off campus placement. The average package for this year was 5 LPA which is lesser than the previous years due the recession factor. 80-85% students get placement considering the off campus placement as well.

Overall the college is okay. But it is located somewhere near the countryside due to which many of the online services and platforms such as zomato, swiggy, blinkit, jiomart, meesho are not available which makes it difficult for us to reside in the hostel here in the long run.

There are many events held every year in the college such as the freshers event, sports fest, tech fest, literature fest, and many more. The Library has a good variety of books available for the students that we do not need to buy study material for the course syllabus. In the classroom, we've the projector facility as well. Here, the sports and extracurricular facilities are quite good. Many of the events are held regarding the same. Also, there are a variety of clubs which the students can join for their improvement.

Hostel facilities are good and decent. For girls, we've all the 3 people rooms but the structure of the room is like it is divided into three parts so that there doesn't seem any problem residing with two other girls in a room. If you place a curtain at the front end of your side then it feels like you've the single room. The rent for an year is 100000 which includes the mess fee as well. Mess menu is decent as we've all different meals for the whole week.

I applied in IEMJEE exam for the college by which I got selected and got addmission in the college. Here, students mostly prefer B. Tech. and B. C. A. courses for their degree. The addmission process was not hectic at all and the admission faculties were supportive.

The student to faculty ratio is what I like here because it is really easy in the class to interact with the faculty. Senior faculties are really good. Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and in between two mid terms are conducted which carry 25 marks each.

Till now, I've not been a part of any gd, interview or their pattern because I'm only in the second year of my degree. But till date what I've heard about these is that when the companies come to college for the placement purpose, they arrange proper GD and everthing.

We've facilities such as gym, Library, etc but there's a proper time for girls as we've the deadline of 9:30 pm to enter the hostel. We are allowed to go to central Library till 7:30 pm after which we can go to another Library which is smaller, and is inside the girls' hostel. There are some places both inside and outside the campus to hangout.
