Not bad

The fact that they provide on hospital experience for biomedical equipments like ct scan, mri machine etc.. Hindustan is a pretty popular hospital situated in coimbatore. So the patient force is hectic, and they provide super speciality equipments which provides us on site experience.

Since I'm in first year I'm not exactly sure about how it happens. But from what I heard from the seniors, the internship happens after the 4th sem. The college guides us to get to the proper internship packages.

Highest package offered till now was 10lpa. And average package ranges from 3-4lpa. College provides on campus placement cell and offers proper training for placement training from the second year. I personally plan to go for higher education after the degree.

Since I came from management quotmy yearly fee was ~80k. The college provides facility to apply for any scholarships you prefer like pragathi. For government quota students, the fees is like 50000 yearly. Since I'm first year I can't say anything about if the fee is increasing or not.

On Feb 14 we have a fest called hilaricas. This is the biggest college fest in all of covai. The library has an amazing infrastructure with books needed for almost all subjects we have to study. So if it's hard for us to buy some books. The library has it. The college provides a lot of clubs and societies. Like the football club, diffrent nccs, trekking club,etc..

The hostel I'm staying has 3 types of room. -without attached bath and balcony -with bath but no balcony - with bath and balcony We get non veg 3 times a week. But food quality is poor. Registration was through the admission to college itself.

To be honest, I didn't apply to anyother colleges. Personally coming from a state which had fewer biomed courses. It felt like a pretty good college. The admission is usually by tamilnadu entrance examination. But management quota is also there. I personally took management.

Most of the faculty members are well educated and they know their subject properly. Our chemistry professor is the best ever guy in chemistry I've ever had. Biomedical profesor is a person who has a Passion about the subject that makes us students want to learn it more.

For girls hostel u have to be in hostel at 9.00. I think for the boys the curfew is at 10. We have a gym. And cafeterias all around the campus. The campus is pretty big, so if you are tired roaming around u get snacks and juices at affordable prices. The major tourist spots near are isha yoga center. Coimbatore town. Ukkadam river.
