IIFT:- THE MOST UNDERRATED BSCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY

So the main reason for choosing mba in business analytics as my course was that this course curriculum was very up to date with Today's industry standards. The subjects that are being taught to me are exceptional and could be very easily applied. Although this program is actually very maths and statistics heavy . More or less all the subjects require some sort of maths background. The issue with this course is that some core subjects which are present in the general mba are absent such as financial accounting and international law, but we've sent a mail to our gsm department to include those in our course. All in all if you really want to learn analytics and want to apply it in the business world this course is for you.

The prominent finance companies are JP MORGAN CHASE GOLDMAN SACHS BANK OF AMERICA CITIBANK ICICI BANK DE SHAW HDFC BANK BARCLAYS The prominent sales and marketing companies are:- HUL ITC MARS PUMA HELION PHILLIPS MEDTRONICS The prominent general management companies are TAS TATA STEEL JSW TRIDENT GROUP The prominent prodman companies that visit campus are MICROSOFT INDIAMART MASTERCARD WIPRO

The placements of IIFT DELHI are at par with some of the old IIM's like Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode. Iift is beast when it comes to finance and marketing. Every major international bank and every hedge fund visit the campus for recruitment. Also IIFT caters to some trade companies that only recruit from this college and don't visit any other campus in India. Last year 102 companies visited the campus , the median package was around 26 lakhs and average was around 27 lakhs. Highest package stood at 85 lakhs. And 100 percent placement was achieved. I'll be most probably going for working in a bank or a hedge fund after the degree

The year wise fees is around 9 lakhs which comes to be around 3 lakhs per trimester. The tution fees is around 2,73,000. There is also admission fee of rupees 50000 which is to be paid in the first trimester. The overall fees is around 17,83,000 for the duration of two years. This is the fee structure of general category students. For reserved category students the fees is 50% as compared to general candidates and also more scholarships available for them.

Iift has a lot of festivals going on such as trade winds which encompasses all the industry leaders in various fields and invites them to have a conversation about various trends going on in the industry. Also there is a sports league known as ultimate warriors league which is the sports festival of iift delhi which is a 4 day tournament comprising of various sports games Our library is equipped with a lot international journals and also Bloomberg portal. There are various societies which are there for students to get an idea of various types of insights in diverse fields

I chose iift because of the following reasons 1. It's one of the oldest Bschools in the country which makes it having one of the strongest alumni bases. 2. The location of the college is actually great , surrounded by Sanjayvan and also in the heart of delhi. 3.It was very near to my home to commute was very easy 4.The fees is a bit less as compared to top IIM's. 5. Placements are at par with some of the old IIM's. 6. The roles for finance and are at par with IIM Calcutta. I applied to mdi, wasn't able to make it there because this year they had some mishap in the admission process in which they gave admission to more number of students than the number of seats available. Admission criteria of IIFT is through CAT only and cut-off is around 98 percentile

The faculty is top notch at iift. The faculty is divided into two categories some professors are permanent faculty while others are visiting faculty. I've been very lucky to be taught by the finest professors which are present in the country. A special mention for DR. SANJAY RASTOGI, who taught me probability and business research methods, his teaching style and pedagogy is immaculate and very informative. Also there are many other professors who teach very well. Overall i love the teaching experience here. Exams are pretty easy also if you listen carefully to the teachers you'll be able to pass and it's very easy to pass those exams. Overall very satisfied with the experience

There was an extempore round and a personal interview after cat. So first you have to qualify the cat exam, scoring atleast 98 percentile, for general candidates, then your Shortlisted for extempore and pi round. This process takes place online and in extempore round they gave me topic on future of AI and its impact and in pi they asked about my undergrad and my projects. I prepared for these rounds as i had taken gdpi prep course from IMS

The most famous Hangout spot is just in the front of college which is known as LAXMAN DHABA. The college is very near to the hauz khas village And campus timings are for 9am to 6pm and locality is quite safe considering hauz khas police station is beside our college. Haven't taken the hostel so can't comment on that
