Course Curriculum Overview
Most of the students select EC Branch because the didn't get CS Branch. But I selected it because of in many sector i can get job. I was confused in beginning regarding my job that i should go with private sector job or government sector job. After sime research i got to know the with EC branch i can prepare for both of them.
Internships Opportunities
For internship the college don't provide any company reference. But there are teachers which will help you and will give you company reference for internship.I completeed my internship by my own reference.
Placement Experience
Placement is average in this college. It doesn't means companies don't come in this college it means sales companies visits are more than technical companies in this college. And since its a btech college not management college they should bring tech companies more often.
Fees and Financial Aid
My yearly College fees was 60000 through out the course Scholarship were also available according to the caste. For example OBC will have scholarship of 30000 (approx) But sometimes different students might have different fees structure
Campus Life
If I ignore the placement aspects then overall college life experience was good. Since i have witnessed many cultural and professional programs tournaments and many more things that added a many exciting chapters to my life. Also in educational aspects teachers were so supportive and easily available for students. Also library facility was good for self studies. In sports aspects many intercollege tournament took place in each year in the college or in other colleges too. Many other activities like NCC and NSS is also there for development of social skills and more.
Admission
I wanted the college out side from bhopal. But the time was gone to apply to those colleges. But in bhopal my first preference for the college was Oriental college. Placements were average but it was the fees because of which i selected this college. The main factor of selecting this college was it was in my budget to pay the fees.
Faculty
All courses affiliated by rgpv is there in Oriental college. In Electronic and communication Branch In first four semester you will have 5 subjects each sem. And after fourth sem. For fifth and sixth sem you will have 4 subjects each sem. And for 7th and 8th semester you will have 3 subjects each sem. For all these subjects you will have written exams and also internal and external practical exams Where 70% will be from written and 30% will be from practical. There will be slightly change fir other courses rest is same.
Night Life
I was a day scholar in this college but after college ends at 5 pm there were many things to do like sports (volleyball, football, cricket, badminton etc.) And gym facility is also available. Which releases all the tension of students and also keep students healthy physically and mentally too.
