Remarks
It is an amazing college and can further improve if the quality of education given improves, better teaching staff is required. Also much focus is required on practical education and not theoretical.
Entrance Preview
MU CET, a separate entrance test is taken in which I scored 100 in 250. I was initially in the extended merit list but later moved up the list and got the branch I applied for (chemical). I chose this college over other colleges because of its magnificent campus, good reputation and placement cell.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies came, more than 50. I landed an offer in one of the companies with 20 stipend. Think and learn is the company after TCS that placed many students. Mass recruiters and core companies, both came in huge numbers.
Placement Experience
More than 400 were placed in TCS, accenture, ibm, think and learn and other companies core companies offered 6 lac per annum where mass recruiters offered 3.5 lac per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know of any such loans available for students. But for students below poverty line there is fee waiver and also for meritorious students there is half fee waiver.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was better than most other engineering college, hostel parties were fun much liberty was given, extra curriculars were encouraged, workshops were good, cultural society was magnificent and tolerance with regards to gender, diversity, race, religion, sexual orientation, political and economic status was shown. There cannot be more diverse a cultural than Manipal.
