The college at the heart of culture.

The college gives you an exposure to the outside world through its various opportunities of the same. It is a college which has a reputation for good faculty and great placements. The social culture is evolving and must be ideal soon.

The course curriculum is quite comprehensive and the exam structure is subjective question answer type like any other college. Also the course is of 8 semesters ideally to be completed in 4 years. The marking system is absolute.

College does not provide internship but projects under faculties are promoted for better experience and guidance. The placemens and job opportunities are at par with other NITs and the average package is among top 5 in the country taking NITs into consideration. The only branch facing problem is Civil Engineering, but incidentally our college's performance in GATE and IES has been so great that it mitigates the issue a bit.

Two major events or Fests are celebrated in college. Avishkar-The tech fest for the bright minds. Culrav-Annual cultural fest of huge grandeur. Also Entrepreneurship fest, Literature fest, Music meet, Dramatics Meet, Photo walk etc. are the few events that make the college happening.

It is very feasible as compared to private college. The rate changes every year and details can be found on the official website of our college I.e. mnnit.ac.in. But it is certainly not on the expensive side.

I don't know much about the scholarship scheme of my college as I didn't avail one. However you can always opt for the scholarship given by the various state govt. But the specifically doesn't provide for any.

Labs are just above average in the college. The physics research lab is at par with high end labs. Also the curriculum labs are up to date. They are boring as expected of them. There are grounds for football, tennis, basketball, skating separately and a gym as well.

The hostel infrastructure in above average for the residents in the first year. But as you become senior you have to compromise on the living space and the quality of the building as you have to live in the older hostels of the college but they are in the process of renovation. The bathrooms have been upgraded and a new hostel is under construction. However in final year you get a single room which is more than enough.

The alumni network is very strong and they are really helpful. They consider the alumnus as family and try to help as much as possible. Every year they contribute a huge chunk of money for the development of college also help in the placement of students whenever they can.

The faculty in our college is well read and most of them are PhDs in their respective fields. Also research is promoted in various branches of our college giving it an edge over the others. However the faculty is conservative in their approach of teaching and college administration. New ideas are well scrutinized before application of the same.
