- Out of all the colleges of UPTU, NIET is among the best five colleges.
- Administration people are very supportive and are so kind that any form of help can be seeked from them.
- Internal marking system is not so strict as even things like good attendance can fetch good marks in internals.
Dislikes
- End of the day its UP and some goons will be there who disturb the peace every now and then.
Course Curriculum Overview
UPTU sometimes I feel don't get it's due for having the most complete CSE syllabus. We get the opportunity to interact with students of foreign universities and also we are often take for combined workshops with IIT Delhi and other prestigious colleges. Hence, an enhanced learning is what is provided to us.
Placement Experience
Placements are after full training is provided. 91% students were placed in 2024 in companies like Capgemini, Cognizant, Vodafone Idea, and HCL Technologies. On and average students were offered 8-12 lakhs salary but some genius ones out there and they got paychecks of 25-30 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
NIET fees is 6 lakhs a year and it is what it is. In the first year itself if you have a score of over 60 in PCM, you straightaway gets 1 lakh off. Likewise if you have scored CGPA in top 15, you again get 1 lakh off for the next year.
Campus Life
We don't have anything called fests we rather have events based themes. Two of the latest events that happened recently are Jagmag and Jugnu. We have a huge canteen inside the campus and we also have one large auditorium wher most of our events take place. We have any sporting facility that one knows and above all its the security of the campus which is like a Z level security.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels ar amazing and event the rooms. Like I live in a two seater room and have to pay 120k a year for that. Mess are amazing and from morning breakfast, then lunch, then evening breakfast and finally the dinner, we are given a four time meal at the campus.
Admission
UPSEE and 12th marks which is not more but 50+ for general students. So it's mostly based on entrance scores. One can visit their website and foll the application form. However direct university coming I feel is rather beneficial as students are given a before hand counseling by the college. So admission here may be easy but career guidance provided gives clarity.
Faculty
Most and by most I mean of the faculties of NIET are trained with corporate and therefore knows exactly what to teach. If the syllabus has any unwanted things they will themselves skip and it something new has come up they will themselves add that in the syllabus.
Night Life
Yes there are hostels both boys and girls hostels. For our hostel the time to return back is 9 pm. We have like nearly 50+ food stalls right outside our college and we also have one of the biggest mall, Venice Mall at some distance from our college.
