Course Curriculum Overview

2

Courses are great but they focus more on covering different topics rather than going deeper into one topic. They try to touch everything that can be taught but they only teach on a surface level. As I said every month there will be an internal exam. You will not get much time to prepare and this is the main reason why students don't get good grades. Courses are designed more for students to do than professors. Every week reviews etc.

Internships Opportunities

4

Cisco, TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, Dunzo, Dell, Mckinsey, Phone Pe, Palo Alto, and many other companies come with internship opportunities for roles like Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Product Engineer, and Consultant.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is decent. For a CSE student, avg package is around 12 LPA but it's not the same for other branches. Branches like Civil, Biotech, and IEM get comparatively low placement. But the main reason is the quality of students in those branches is not that good otherwise the course and faculty are great in those branches. Around 85-95% of students get placed. Getting placed is not tough but getting a good package is a task. Students even opt for higher education rather than applying for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee is around 2.6L per year as I am under Comedk Seat. For Kcet students, it is around 90k per annum. For management students, fee ranges from 3 to 10 lakh per annum based on branch, CSE being the costliest. Moreover, another 15 thousand is taken during admission as LAB fees from all students.

Campus Life

3

There are too many clubs that are active and tons of things keep happening here. Utsav is the cultural fest of the college and Phaseshift is the tech fest. Both are great. Sometimes I feel like too many events happen that are not required at all. Even nobody is interested in participating in those events. Still IDK. Sports quality and even hostel quality is very poor because of lack of space. Every class is equipped with the latest teaching gadgets like a smart board and projector.

Admission

The main reason I joined this college is because of its placement. I didn't get a seat in the IIT or CSE branch in any NIT, so I opted for this college as it has better opportunities than most of the private colleges in this country. This college has better placement than the colleges like KIIT, to which I had applied earlier. I did choose BMSCE over other private colleges. I joined this college through an exam called COMEDK. This test happens all over the country after the 12th board. I got around 1000 rank in that exam, due to which I got a CSE seat in this college.

Faculty

4

Faculties in core branches like Telecommunication, IEM, Chemical, and Biotechnology are great. But in branches like CSE and Specialization like IOt and AIML, professors are not even qualified Phd. Most of them are new and have very little experience in teaching. There are 3 Continuous Internal Exams,1 Semester End examination, and plenty of assignments, projects, and presentations. Exams are not that tough. Most of the students can pass the exam by studying one night before exams. Still, few students fail. The course curriculum is very hectic and stressful. Back-to-back 3 CIEs and so many assignments will not give you time for yourself.

Night Life

4

There is no place inside the campus to hang out as the college is very small. But you get many options outside the college as you know that college is situated in the middle of Bengaluru. Gyms, cafes, clubs, you can find everything but outside the college. The locality is safe. You can hang around at night. No issues but the only thing is you will be not allowed to hangout in night if you are in hostel.

Other Applied Colleges

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology - [KIIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

because the placement of current college is better than this particular college.
