Remarks
The college is good in academics but it is liveless. There is too much competitive mentality between everyone. Students, teachers are very much boring. You can get good marks won't get a memorable life here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is for the people who like Biology. The curriculum is semester wise. 2 semester in a year. 2 exams per semester. As there are many subjects i.e. 10-11 per semester so the exam session are very long. Every semester you shall have to spend around 2.5-3 months giving exams.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities are there. As of now there is no placement opportunity or internship. But you can easily crack the government exams if you try. The main fucus here is the JRF exam that is conducted to get admitted in MSc
College Events
There are 4 events celebrated in a year. 1st is the freshers in which every first year student must perform something. Then there is the annual cultural festival Social. It's a grand 3 days program. Various performances happen in this. Bands are invited, DJ night all in all it's a fun time. Then there is also UBKV premiere league. A cricket tournament.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's feasible. 5000 per semester. There is no extra charge. The only charge add here is the mess bill which is based on the food provided to you. There is no other fee. For more details you can check the official website
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a university scholarship of 125 per month for students securing 7 grade. Also students outside of Bengal get 3000 per month as ICAR scholarship. As of now there is no loan facility. There is no need of loan actually.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities here is pretty moderate. There is a ground where football is played in regular basis. Labs are well equipped. But no more extra curricular activities. Classes are held 9 to 5 so no time for those things.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for Hostel. The hostel is pretty good. There is no extra fees for Hostel. You just have to pay the mess bill. The facilities here are pretty good. There is a common room with table tennis facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no strong network between the current students and alumni. You can contact the alumni on your own. They are pretty helpful. But there is no as such strong network. Building network is upon on you.
Faculty
The faculty are good in their knowledge. But they are not very much helpful. They are more in scolding rather helping you in any situation. The dean is also a bit rude. But exceptions are there. Some of them are good.
