Course Curriculum Overview
I've chosen BSc in nautical science. They have stringent rules for discipline as aspect of a Seafarer or a mariner. This is what attracted me to choose this field from AMET. The frequency and timing of the exam is perfect n up to date, there is no difficulty for the examinations
Placement Experience
AMET university promises 90% of placement. We have different companies around the globe that come for placement interviews for cadets undergoing the bsc program. The starting package is 350000-450000 per annum(varies from company) and it can go upto 675000-850000 per MONTH (once u become a captain)
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees paid are 355000 Tution fees are 260000 Food and accommodation are 53000 Uniform,medical, etc fees are 10000 Soft skill training fees are 5000. There is a scholarship provided for single parent child, Meritorious Student Scholarship, and a scholarship provided for girls by DG shipping of India.
Campus Life
Overall experience in campus life has been the best so far, we have 13 different clubs providing different opportunities for every cadet. We have inter college competitions as well as student exchange programs We have great experience in participating such programs. We also have chances to attend different conferences for the betterment of our future
Hostel Facilities
Our room ka spacious enough for four people to accomodate. We have 4 beds and 2 ceiling fans and 4 bunk fans as well as we have 4 almirah with 4 study table and chairs. We have a common washroom of 12 on our hostel 12 for bathing and 12 toilet
Admission
AMET university has partnership with MAERSK shipping company. So i applied for placement in MAERSK and got the placement via amet university. This is the reason I chose AMET over other universities. Admission process is very easy and we have particular staff to guide for the process
Faculty
Faculty of our college is good overall, we have captains, officers and commandor teaching ya the subjects. Exams we have CAT 1 of 2 units & CAT2 of 2 units then come MODEL exams of 5 units and lastly end semester exams
Night Life
Since it's a semi regimental academy so we have strict hostel rules, we have to be inside the hostel by 8:30. Usually we have study hours at night and early sleeping hours. The local area is safe to roam and we have all necessary provisions required.
