Course Curriculum Overview
My interest in computer science led me to pick up this course. The subjects taught in my course are essential for interviews and jobs related to this course. Overall their teaching methods including labs and softwares is satisfactory.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are offered 5th semester onwards with stipends ranging from 30k-1L per month. These internships go on for a period of about 3 months. There's multiple exams and tests you need to clear in order to secure the internship.
Placement Experience
My college allows you to get internships from the 5th semester. Campus placements can be availed 7th semester onwards. The highest package offered was I think about 1cr per year and the average being about 8-9LPA for my course. My plans after my degree is to work.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm paying about 4L per year for tuition fees and 1.95L per year for hostel feels. No scholarship. The tuition fees is inclusive of all Theory and lab courses. Biology related courses have a lower fees but I am not sure.
Campus Life
My college organises tech as well as leisure fests once a semester. There are also hackathons all around the year. The clubs also organise fests and events based on their content. Each classroom is provided with projectors to make it easier for the teachers.
Hostel Facilities
There's 4 types of messes in my college and the meals are pretty good. You can choose your room to either be ac or non ac and you can choose your roommates as well. Registration process is based on your cgpa
Admission
The prospects of my college is good, the companies coming for placements etc. I had applied for other colleges including iits and other private colleges. My college has an exam called the VITEEE though which students are given a rank and can apply. I couldn't get the course of my choice in the other colleges I had applied to.
Faculty
Each faculty for a single subject handles around 140 students, divided over 2 slots. Some teachers teach multiple subjects. The course coverage overall is pretty good and all teachers try their best to cover the syllabus.
Night Life
My college does not allow you to go out of your hostel after 9pm and outside campus after 7pm. Although there are gyms and other activities where students go after classes to unwind, outside campus also has good cafés and food places where people go to hangout.
