Course Curriculum Overview
I am so interested in the semiconductor field, and that's why I chose this course the course fulfills my needs at some points, but some minor points get missed. The course is mostly relevant and satisfying, but the industry-level knowledge is hard to get we only lear the basics. Tools that are at the level of industries are not present due to the high costs of servers and software. We only learn the basic level of ideas of the course. The frequency of exams is quite difficult and high. Our syllabus gets only 4 months to study, and the exam is conducted on the 5th month (approximately).
Internships Opportunities
Internships provided by the university are so good, though they don't provide a stipend at some point the scholarships provided by the government are good, and many large companies take place in that. The average stipend is 10k per month. Sometimes, our college faculties directly request the companies to take part in internships for college students. The rolls assigned are of project members. As we get Internships from a well-known company, then it directly affects your skills and improves you a lot. The tasks they give are related to our basics as well as some research topics.
Placement Experience
In our branch, there are lots of companies recruiting us. Most of them got placed. Many technical and nontechnical companies come to our college and get a good amount of students for them. The average package is 300000Rs, and some companies also do mass recruitment of students. I applied to two decent companies, and I also got a chance to get interviewed. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the companies. My further plans are to go for more chances and apply for as many companies as possible.
Fees and Financial Aid
So, my experience with the fee structure in the bachelor's degree of electronics and communication engineering for this college is very good. Since it's a government college, I didn't have to pay for any type of registration or admission fees. The semester tuition fee for boys is 1600Rs. Sure, the Penalty fees are there. There were some documentation charges when we joined the college, and it was something around 500 Rs. They provide library books for free up to some certain deadline; a Penalty is applicable for delays. University PRC fees are 300rs for each year for the degree of Bachelors. It's an affordable college, and they provide services and events from the government for free also without any charges. Since I'm an SC student, I was eligible for the DIGITAL GUJARAT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME, and the government paid 3460 RS for the first-year scholarship application that has been approved.
Campus Life
Infrastructure is so good for this college. It gives good vibes to the campus. Since it's a government college, government level festivals like Independence Day, republic day are celebrated every year. The campus environment is also ao good. The library has a wide amount of books and journals. Extracurricular activities are also provided by the college campus. They have an NSS group that does social work and helping work. Students of this college can also arrange festival celebrations by obtaining permission from the principal. Hackathons also take place for the technical skill improvement of each. The classroom has projectors and PCs.
Admission
The admission process is quite simple, and all the work can be done online. The joining process was discussed via emails and calls. Choosing this college because this college is well known and a very good government college. Anyone who doesn't want to go outside of the city can pursue this college and can get a good level of degree. Eligible was about 45% of the exam of GUJCET and minimum 75%ile in the 12th board exams. Information technology is the best course in this college but all other branches are well and good. If you want a decent college with a good structure that has lots of placement opportunities and has a good reputation, and also doesn't want to cost any extra amount of money and get an affordable fee rate, this is the best college that you can have! As long as about another college, my marking criteria weren't good enough for them, and I didn't want to go outside of the city of Ahmedabad, so I decided to go to this college! This college has almost all types of placement companies that come to any other college in Gujarat.
Faculty
The course system is easy and clear. There are two types of exams at the college level. First is class tests, which vary from faculty to faculty in terms of marks and complexity. The second is the mid-term exam, which is easy and of 30 marks, which can be clear from reference books. Some faculties are so good that they support you in every part but not all. I had an experience of failing my internal examination, and it wasn't my fault at all that the faculty was too partial and casteism towards me because I was an SC student. Another bad experience happened when I was in my sixth semester, and the faculty was so full of ego even when I wasn't even guilty. I had such a hard time facing those two faculties, but despite them, all the other faculties were good and well-mannered. I can't deny that problems may occur, but not every time, so because of this, I have a good response to the faculty reviews in the previous step. In the mid-term exams, mostly 5 to 10 students fail, but they get a pass in the remedial because of the easy exam system.
Night Life
There is a gym for the students, and it's good. The cafeteria does not have much variety, and the food is average. Hostel timings are from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. for both girls and boys; the favorite hangout spots are basketball group and E block. Outside of the college, there is a huge mall and lots of street food vendors also. Many food varieties are there; there are also movie theatres. The area outside of the college is so safe and good for roaming at night.
