Iiita: the review

The curriculum provided at iiita for each course is up to date. There are only the relevant course that are required for real world applications. Some area of improvement might be making the schedule more linient and not very hectic. There are two major exams per semester and several quiz, viva, lab tests and projects

The college also process on campus internship opportunities for 2nd 3rd and 4th year students. Big companies like Amazon Google and Microsoft provides internship opportunities to the students with stipend upto 1.5 lakhs. Most of the student also get pre placement offers during their internship period.

College provides campus placement opportunities. Students of 7th and 8th semester are eligible for the campus placement. Many famous MNCs visit iiita including big names like Google Amazon Microsoft etc. highest package this year was about 1.4 cr and average package is around 2500000. Nvidia hired 3 ece students this year. Around 90% students get the campus placement.

The total college fee including mess and hostel is around 1300000, with approx 250000 for the total hostel fee for 4 years, tution fee is around 80000 per semester i.e. 160000 per year including all development fee lab fee etc for general candidate. Fee structure for other categories are less than that of general would be around 600000 for all 4 years including mess and hostel fee. There are many scholarship programs offered by college and government of India which you can get on merit bases

There are 3 major annual fest, effervescence the annual cultural fest, aproksha the annual technical fest, asmita the annual sports fest which takes place throughout the year. There is a big library in the campus which has multiple variety of books including academics and non academic books. All the academic buildings and the Library is air conditioned and equiped with fast wifi connection. Sports facilities are very decent, campus consists of a cricket ground and swimming pool also. There are multiple clubs and societies including music, dance, drama and literary society and a technical club also.

There are hostels provided by the college for residence of students. Hostel rooms are of double sharing, the room is very spacious for two people, the room includes 2 cupboard, 2 table, 2 beds and 2 chairs rest you have to buy yourself. The washrooms are decent hygienic and the lobby is also very clean hostels are equipped with lift also. Hostel includes the mess at the ground floor which provides various types of food. The hostel Is very affordable.

Iiit allahabad is famous for its coding culture which was a major point for me to choose this college over others. The peer group here is very smart people with all being the top 0.5%ilers. comparing with other govt engineering colleges iiita provides better faculty and lab facilities. Admission to iiita for BTech programs is possible through the JEE mains examination only, the cutoff for general candidate is around 99.5%ile in the JEE mains exam. Overall admission process was very smooth.

The faculty to students ratio would be around 1:25 which is very nice, because of very less intake for the btech programs this ratio is maintained well. Each and every faculty here is well educated and knowledgeable. Their teaching style is also very appreciable with the latest curriculum. There are two exams per semester the mid sems and the end sems and 25% marks are based on internal evaluation which I cludes quiz, viva, project etc. the course curriculum is up to date and very good

Nightlife is very decent not very happening there are multiple night canteens which is open throughout the night. Hostels got their own gym equipped with all the necessary equipments. There is no such campus closing time but there are time restrictions for girls hostel which is 11 pm. The location of campus is not very great so there are no such places outside the campus to hangout
